The team's going to be treated like royalty on campus ... by people like distant fan? Absolutely 100% with you on this on Paul. In fact, if people are going to act like that, then there is definitely more fuel for the the team's fire. I have no problem if people don't care about sports, but some people around the university shouldn't try and act like athletics, and the basketball havn't earned these accolades and the fan's respect. If a player is busting their ass for an athletic team, they are busting their ass for the university. On the court, in the classroom, around campus, it shouldn't matter. If you work hard and give it your best shot, then people should be at least acknowledged for their hard work. And yes, even at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, that includes the field of athletics, whether some people want to admit that or not....
