Things at the gasthaus COULD have changed since we left. About two years ago management completely changed after it was found that employees would pocket a large portion of cash paid for drinks and would liqueur up their friends for little or even no cost (and of course pocket all the tips). There was zero inventory audit when it came to alcohol. Who knows if the new management has some school spirit. At least one tv with Twc sports would help. Its still not that much better if any. I am honestly surprised they are having a viewing party there. University must have pushed it on them. They want no part in being a place to watch panther games and it is sad.

As far as I know, no 16 seed has beaten a 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. A little bit of me hopes we get a 16 instead of a 15 so we can change that... it hasnt happened in the mens although it has on the womens side, harvard upset Stanford in 1998. the closest margin in a 1-16 game is 1 point.

Signs on the doors of the student union today also say that you can watch the game at "Panther Connection." i am not positive, but i think that term refers to the lounge area near the Grind which has a TV and a bunch of computer kiosks for checking your email, signing in to PAWS, etc...

That is correct. That is the "Panther Connection". I hope the viewers get to witness some awesome history tonght starting at 6pm CST. As a graduate student who has passed by that area since it was originally implemented/built- I have to say I am quite impressed with what they have done (Milwaukee AD isn't all bad y'all!)- and I've noticed a lot more students hanging out in that area- even if not watching the 75" video board/flat screen that displays Panther Athletic events. I think the Panther Connection will have more visitors tonight than is the norm. They (The Uni/UWM Union) really put in a great effort and made that a great lounge spot for study or relaxing and watching Milwaukee Athletics. We can only hope that those who watch the game from the Panther Connection zone of the Union come away as permanent fans.... and not disappointed by a Milwaukee loss. I have faith. I think after beating Detroit and Valpo soundly, and beating Green Bay on their home floor even being (up by 8-10pts all game but then) down 4pts with 2 minutes left...... has given this team a some kind of fierce momentum. We shall see in 4 hours- but I believe this Milwaukee team is one for the ages (just get to the Tourney- I could care less what happens after that.... we were picked for LAST in the H-League....). Nothing is sweeter than revenge. And nothing else but revenge tonight can remove the bitterness that has been this topsy-turvey season... GO PANTHERS!!!! BEAT WRIGHT STATE- Heck, SMASH WRIGHT STATE!!!!

Milwaukee has gone 13-3 when shooting at least 45 pct from the field and the Panthers are 16-3 when opps shoot under 45 pct.
