I was all set to attend my first Panther game of the season in person last night before illness kept me home. Thank goodness. Jeter's ability to suck the life out of this program has led me to attend one game in the last two seasons. That is just sad. The dream continues: Just do us all a favor Rob and resign. You need leadership to win. You have no leader on the floor and no leadership within the coaching staff. just pathetic ! |

We had a two leaders on the floor not all that long ago. Their bodies have been on the floor running around the last three games, but the leadership has disappeared. It seems like the spirit of James Haarsma has invaded the Panther locker room and has returned the team to last season's malaise.
Or it's time for a new coach. Ahem! August can't come fast enough!

*Gag* Call me crazy, but in my opinion, if you snitch on a school for cheating you CANNOT cheat...if you happen to make a minor screwup that could be considered cheating and your school reports it to cover your butt, you definitely can't make the same mistake again...and if you somehow screw up and do all of that, you sure as hell can't lie about knowing the players you're recruiting or the wives of your assistants...unless you're a complete scumbag Keep Pearl on ESPN |

This 19 point "L" was our first home loss to a sub-200 RPI team this season, making this officially our worst loss of the year, metrics-wise. Our previous worst home loss was to #115 Cleveland State (by 28 pts). Our worst overall loss was @ current #300 Loyola, by 4 pts, in our first game of the season.
This HOME LOSS dropped Milwaukee's RPI/SOS from 154/236 to 178/247 (3-5, 12-9 vs D-I).
This ROAD WIN moved Detroit's RPI/SOS from 230/160 to 208/152 (2-4, 7-12 vs D-I).

Is PantherU dead? Not much movement on the discussion board or website. If they've given up on the Panthers, then you can quickly assume just how much this program has fallen.

You know there are certain things that are so predictable here every year. Non-conference is all about "getting ready for the conference season". Then about this time every year we get from Jeter our guys are down, mentally tired, we need to get back to having fun again, guys have to just let loose, play and enjoy themselves. Here we go again!! What gives here? Then we go back to fools gold a bit and bow out in the HL Tourney. I am just hoping somehow we get a decent match, get lucky and someone knocks off GB first and somehow like UIC did under Collins many moons ago with the Sheriff Kyle Kickert back our way into the Dance .. I would take that at this point over anything!!!!! Yawn...

Sorry, both of us have been busy launching new ventures so PantherU hasn't been too busy - Danny Z has a new look for his 3rd Man In website, and I started a business building websites. We've got stuff in the pipeline, don't you worry. The discussion board? Yeah it's probably dead. I've offered to take over the admin of this board (before the PantherU one), but I never got an answer from the admin. It was a board that was intended to be run by students - I'm fairly certain that paintedone and freak (obviously) have been admin in the past, and I think fan was when I got here - but it was never handed off to me when I was running the student section. The admin does a fine job though - stays out of the conversation mostly and only steps in when it gets ridiculous - so the only benefit I think I would have is that I'd pay the $7 a month to banish ads. The PantherU forum will still exist as a means to collect from premium subscribers and deliver that premium content. Which is another reason you don't see much on the public board. |
