Detroit stinks. Let's hope the Panthers don't stink more. Oh! They stink!

Honestly I have no faith that the students will show up for the game... I am finished thinking that there will ever be a good Student Section crowd this season or beyond until they prove otherwise. They need this game tonight, or the season is spinning out of control. I am trying to remain positive that they can rattle off 3-4 in a row, but the play lately has been lackluster. I think there is some talent on this squad, but just not clicking right now. I also think it would help this team out alot if we had a good backup PG. We should beat Detroit at home, if we don't then Coach Jeter will be sending out an SOS.. This game worries me honestly. And I don't like that feeling.

I fear we will be landing near 180th in the RPI after this terrible home loss to what was a 6-12 (1-4 HL) team. After starting the year with a 9-2 record, and an RPI of 77 right around the time the RPI was starting to become meaningful, we have now gone 4-7 since, tanking our RPI by over 100 spots. Translation? Goodbye, postseason bid. Of note... of those 7 recent losses, 4 were to teams with 200+ RPI's... which is exactly what's tanked our RPI. What has happened to this team that we were all raving about only 6 weeks ago going into the Kohl Center??? uwmfreak.proboards.com/thread/6530/game-10-northern-iowa?page=2

Btw, a solid turnout from the students, and they sounded great for most of the 1st Half too! I doubt we'll see that again this year.

CollegeRPI.com currently has us projected at No. 177, which as SRT noted is exactly 100 spots lower than we stood on Dec. 21. It may be snowing, but we've had quite a fall.
For those who care, Green Bay -- which stood at No. 33 after beating the Panthers on Jan. 13 -- has slipped 14 spots to No. 47 despite winning its last three games. The problem: each of those opponents ranked No. 165 and above.

An absolutely disgusting performance. And someone said that Geiger almost killed the program!!!~ What did Geiger have to do with that abomination last night? I do not intend to come to any more games.

An absolutely disgusting performance. "Now I heard that!" The problem with performances like last night's is that not only does it kill any chance the team has of competing in the league, it kills your student following about 250 at a time. In addition, it gives the Journal Sentinel no incentive to travel to your next road game, wherever it may be. Indeed, these types of showings -- four or five of them every single year -- help choke off your program like a weed.

[/quote During his brief tenure as the person charged with overseeing the Men's Basketball program at UWM he did nothing to alter the course of that program in any way, in terms of culture, staffing and direction. Thhat is "what he has to do with that abomination last night."

That is "what he has to do with that abomination last night." All for the low, low price of $215,000. Good work if you can get it. Just another old executive who saw the opportunity to pad his wallet without having any career or emotional investment in the "work" he was doing. This doesn't just happen in college athletics. Did I miss something that M. Moore only played 8 minutes and was on the bench the whole 2nd half? Anyone? He was playing well in the 1st half. Scored 5 points in a row to give the Panthers a 12-11 lead.

Scored 5 points in a row to give the Panthers a 12-11 lead. He was playing very well. It has to be one of three things: he was ill, he's in the doghouse or his coach forgot he's on the team. Let's hope it was the first.

I was all set to attend my first Panther game of the season in person last night before illness kept me home. Thank goodness.
Jeter's ability to suck the life out of this program has led me to attend one game in the last two seasons. That is just sad.
The dream continues: Just do us all a favor Rob and resign.
