Cody is exactly what our bench needed. Tony Meier 2.0.

Cody is exactly what our bench needed. Tony Meier 2.0. Moore Cody! Without Mitch, that's our bench right now! Without Cody Wichmann, this team would currently be 1-4 in conference play.

Rob's recruiting has been on point the last 2 years. Aaron, Arians, McWhorter, Tiby, Wichmann. Plus multiple quality redshirts.

Play Cody more! 11 points on 4/4 shooting including 3-3 from 3 in only 14 minutes! Seriously, why in the world did it take Jeter until 4 minutes left in the Half to put him in??? I think we had 17 pts AS A TEAM in 16 minutes when he finally gave him a chance! Was Jeter waiting for a Papal Edict or something to play him?!?!? EDIT: Cody entered the game with 5:47 left in the Half, when the Panthers had 15 pts on the board.

Glad our guys pulled that out but there is no excuse for being down 13 to UIC at the Pavilion or the Cell.

No, that's only when we play Loyola or Detroit (or Manhattan, Niagara, Fairfield, etc.). This one simply required an Act of Congress. www.jsonline.com/sports/panthers/panthers-late-heat-helps-put-out-flames-b99185616z1-240679631.html

Problem is who do you take out Steve, JO or AA for Cody to play more?

Problem is, who do (you) take out -- Steve, JO or AA for Cody to play more? Easy. JaVon and J.J. The starting five plus Malcolm and Cody; that's our team until Mitch gets back in a few weeks.

We got a win that we really needed.
Now we need to string a few together.

Well, that has been done with JJ, as his playing time has been cut. I hope it doesn't get JJ down, but makes him work harder to earn his minutes back.

Seems to me that no one on this board can be happy with a nice win - always need to find a way to be at least somewhat negative. Yes, I'm down on Jeter just like many (if not most) on this board. But I'll give credit where and when credit is due, and hats off to Rob and the staff for making some great adjustments at halftime. This has been a complete change this season from seasons past. Instead of getting buried in the first 5 minutes of the second half, we tend to come out of the locker room aggressive. Last night was no different. First 8 minutes we simply took over, then found a way to hold on. Kudos to the coaches and players. Job well done.
On to Valpo!

watched last years game in disgust. Gotcha beat; I attended it. And it took only a few short weeks of therapy to forget it. By the way, this time let's all try to stand during the National Anthem. That's how i felt about last weeks GB debacle. Man how it would've been to beat them. O'well.

When did UIC become an arena football team, as they play music between plays. LMMFAO. nice.

Agreed, but that's what the message board is for, isn't it? Seriously, I think that people are happy (relieved?) with the win, but in the meantime wondering why one of the team's seven best players continues to be so grossly underutilized (71 minutes for the season!). The Panthers wouldn't have been so far up the creek if Cody had been sent into the game much earlier. They were very fortunate to have been playing UIC instead of Valpo, Wright State or anyone else instead.
