It's nice to see us in here even though I know most on the site don't like the mid-major top 25 as they think it's irrelevant.
Don't get me wrong I totally know where they are coming from but all polls are essentially irrelevant as we decide a champion on the court in college basketball!

The only reason BYU is now in this poll, is because their football program went as an independent and basketball went to a mid-major league.

It's voted on by coaches so I don't see a problem with it. It means we're getting respect from other programs. (This week.)

As most of you know the former UWGB coach (also a former MU Ass't) is now at Toledo.
UWGB has been very impressive, so far. Fouse looked good at the WBY shootout 2 years ago.

ALSO, Drexel is coached by the former UMASS coach Bruiser Flint, who is originally from Philly. My nephew says that he does a great job recruiting there.

Facetious? They have wins against Clemson, LSU, and BYU and they absolutely crushed New Mexico.

I was acknowledging a very impressive early season record. UMASS's record and who they have defeated speaks for itself. I was glad that someone brought that to my attention. Have seen UMASS through the years. Saw Calipari's first team lose to the Dukes, at the Palumbo Center, in Pittsburgh. I was at the game (That Bill Clinton and Chelsea attended), when GW then coached by Mike Jarvis upset the # 1 UMASS team that featured Marcus Camby. And, saw Bruiser Flint's last team get beat by the Buckeyes at the Schot. I've been following college basketball for over years, and think I can recognize a good record, when it is brought to my attention. |

NO WAY are they the 8Th best team in the country. Polls should be started after the first of the new year, and not before. |
