It looks as though the volley ball game is a recording. Hopefully the stream switched to the Panther game closer to tip-off.

Hard fought game but wow.
I know it's only one game but it looked like another Jeter team that couldn't finish tonight...
Very impressed with Tiby tonight.

Very disappointing...
Negatives:
-We lost to a poor team -Loyola's Free Throw tally killed us. They attempted twice as many free throws as Milwaukee. Its hard to win a game when your opponent has the opportunity to put up 33 uncontested points. -Our defense collapsed in the second half allowing a team, that recently lost to D-II Lewis, to score 48 points in a single half of basketball. That is unacceptable even if we do end up being the worst team in the Horizon. -We continue to commit stupid turnovers. Bobo is an abysmal ball handler in traffic and on the fast break. -Jordan Aaron has yet to impress anybody this year.
Positives:
-This is only our first game and we have plenty of time to improve before the season is a total loss -Despite all the negatives outlined above we managed to keep the game close -We shot an incredible 94.1% (16-17) from the charity stripe. -Matt Tiby played like an all-conference player, and Kelm and Arians had impressive outings.
We take our medicine and move on....

Actually being at the game i saw a team that has nowhere to go but up. I also saw a Loyola team that is much better than last years Loyola team. They aren't a great team but I can see them finishing 5th or 6th in the MVC. Turnovers were a big negative, but quite a few of them were from trying to be overly aggressive, which i can't hate on completely. I saw a panthers team that is going to go places in the next year or two. They fight their asses off, they are loud and they cheer their teammates on. Tiby is the heart and soul. There was a point in the game he was standing up from the bench basically being another coach. The kid is going to do incredible things for us

Question to admin. Why can't we paste online stories? I'm trying to save people there 20 per month on Jsonline. I'm not the admin, but I'd say that if the company decides to make their work paid, I wouldn't trample it. The JS doesn't need to lose more writers because the company is losing money due to people undercutting their rules.

I like Lutzow10's analysis. I thought tht it was an exciting game. My seat was on the opposite end (and on the other side) from "all" of the UWM fans I ordered a 4 pack of seats, but they haven't arrived yet.

It was an exciting, competitive game. What that means for the respective teams in 2013-14 is anyone's guess.
I have cautious optimism that this team will play harder and compete more effectively than last year's team.
Matt Tiby's debut was one of the top nine in the program's post-1990 history, joining Von McDade (1990), Marc Mitchell ('91), Shannon Smith ('93), Clay Tucker ('99), Ed McCants ('03), Joah Tucker ('03), Paige Paulson ('06) and Torre Johnson ('07). For at least one night, he looked more like a fifth-year senior than a sophomore.
Steve McWhorter was extremely solid with the ball, which is a vast improvement over a year ago. Speaking of which, Jordan Aaron is a man without a position. As Dick Bennett would say, he's neither fish nor fowl.
