That was as good of a deal as they could get? I mean its an improvement but not as much as i would have hoped. Last year proved we need them just like they need us. I'm not real sure how realistic the chances were of scoring a better deal but just like anything else, winning will help ease these concerns.

The WCD held all the cards. Ticket fee down from $3 to $1.50. $14,000 per game. I bet that 13 games at the Cell. $182,000. Maybe one to two games at the KC, pre-Season game and non-D1.

okay. so that saves us 28,000 more than I was thinking. which I guess is pretty good. Does anyone have any idea what types of things WCD was talking about specifically when they said they wanted to help us out?

Probably allowing more Panther-centric signage, markings etc. in the facility.
BTW, if you're wondering why I haven't put up a story yet, it's because I have been doing a lot of work on PantherU.com - check out the progress.

The Panthers couldn't do the free pizza for the students for games at the Cell because the Panthers would have to use the WCD catering company. That cost to much for them to do, that was a plus being at the KC for them.

so are we able to do pizzas that aren't from the WCD catering company now? I have no idea, what the WCD means by helping the Panthers out. I'll find out at a later point. All I know is that the Panthers couldn't do promos like that for the students because it cost to much to use the WCD catering for free pizza.

I really think anyone who kept their season tickets last year should have first dibs on seats this year. We paid and put up with KC. But this is great news, indeed. I really think I should get my old sweet-ass seats back.

What exactly did Geiger accomplish during his tenure as AD, outside of the KC debacle? He kept us tethered to the floundering Horizon League.

Only the GB game brought out the students. I'm done with this issue. Just done with talking about student attendance at Panther games.

Super King, in my opinion your attitude sucks. If you don't like the team playing at The Cell, just root for someone else. Or, if you like the Klotsche that much, follow the women's team and volleyball.
If you seriously think a Division 1 basketball program can be legitimate playing in the Klotsche in the current college basketball environment, there is no other way to describe you than crazy.
With that said, I expect the season ticket sales to rebound, and for enthusiasm for the team to rebound as well. After all, we have a LEGITIMATE program again.

NO ONE took the program seriously last season, including the students, some players, and general public. We can't plan around student attendance ever again. They will come when the we're competitive on the court.
