I see we're blowing the doors off offensively again. Thank God this garbage ends tonight. I would hope our new AD is bothered by this joke of a season. Was she in attendance? At a minimum I would hope she watched this on Horizon League Network and was embarrassed.

Keep your heads up. It's just a game, albeit one that a lot of us take seriously, and the important thing is that we stay passionate about a team that needs our support. As I said in another thread, we can have a feel good program with a coach paid 1/3 of Jeter's salary. With one of the two highest paid coaches in the league, this is not acceptable.

Our team wouldn't have been in this situation this year if they didn't get water in their ears and jump on the plane.

I can only hope that is the last time Jeter leaves the court as the Panthers head coach. Reality is going to hit you HARD.

I don't know if she was at the game, but if she was in the state, she damn well better have been there. Her being at the game (which I HIGHLY doubt) is irrelevant. Jeter will get at least 1 year to prove himself to her. I really don't understand how people keep thinking she's going to fire him knowing we don't have the finances to pay for his AND another staff's finances. Ignorance is bliss I guess. While we have disliked him for awhile he's got a clean slate with her. Don't like it? Pony up the cash because message board crying will result in N-O-T-H-I-N-G.

For me, this year has been a new low for UWM, not only for men's basketball but for athletics as a whole. At least in the Cobb era, they stunk but there was at least a feeling that the athletic department was striving to be something better. Now we have one of the highest paid coaches in the league who hasn't even sniffed the NCAA Tournament with his own players, an athletic department who doesn't hold people accountable as evidenced by the endless contract extensions for accomplishing nothing, and a university that doesn't seem to care judging by the off-base and uninspiring hires (including yesterday's). I've never been as down and frustrated as I am now because I see no light at the end of the tunnel.

Last game of the year was my first in person.
Man, those two guards are awful, awful, awful. I could see Aaron as maybe the third guard on a good team, coming in as a microwave shooter and a change of pace guy, but it was tough to watch the two of them tonight.
And GB wasn't much to write home about for much of the game, but they were light years ahead of Milwaukee, and the GB freshmen are furhter ahead than the Panther freshmen, the veterans better than the veterans, and about 6 GB players were better than milwaukee's seniors.
If they get to .500 next year, I'd be impressed, and would that be good enough? They need a really good Xs and Os coach to win with what they have coming back.

Of course she won't fire him after this season. That doesn't mean she shouldn't know exactly how disgraceful and pathetic this program has become under the current head coach. And she should be seeing this first-hand. But go ahead and extrapolate my post into something I never implied. Which, by the way, you're very good at doing.

Nor was Geiger, which was a good thing because the 30 or so Panthers in attendance were mutinous.

YOU DONT NEED TO ATTEND THE GAME IN ANTICIPATION OF AN OUTCOME. THE RESULTS OF GAMES HAVE BECOME SO PREDICTABLE. ITS LIKE WATCHING A BAD RE-RUN OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

For the record, Green Bay didn't play well at all in this game and the Panthers still got smoked by 16, our record 19th double-digit loss of the season and record-tying 24th loss overall.
With the season finally ending, I feel a mixture of disenchantment and relief. Nothing else.

Good luck to the remaining six Horizon League teams in the postseason ... and I think they all may go to at least the CIT.
