I am not sure which is worse.... a) RJ's complete inability to motivate and coach or b) The idiotic comments he makes during interviews and press conferences after we get our asses kicked (again and again)
Thoughts?

Welcome back ... and it didn't even take a Pete Karle reference to do it. I'd say A, because it directly results in what happens in B. Saying all the right things in B doesn't fix A.

lol....Pete Karle....thats good.
I agree with you, Hack...."B" just reinforces the ineptitude exhibited by "A"....

Wow. Welcome back.
Think of it: the 1997-98 Panthers team that went 3-24 was fundamentally more competitive vs. Division 1 teams than this one.
Ric Cobb's coaching salary, I believe, was about $67,000.

d) a player reporting to the scorer's table wearing his jersey backward ... and there are six members of the coaching staff that presumably saw him sometime before the game.

If Ric Cobb was handed the program as Jeter was, does anybody think Cobb would've fared much worse? I interviewed Cobb in '96 for a TV News class and attended several practices. Cobb was well-spoken and his players worked hard for him. In fact, they all, for the most part, enjoyed playing for him. I don't get the sense any of Jeter's players particularily enjoy playing for him.

Yep, in all my dealings with the team through the Post and Panthervision, he seemed to be highly regarded by most if not all (well, maybe not Damion Ninkovic). I'll never forget interviewing Chad Angeli after the Bo Ryan's introductory press conference. He compared losing Ric Cobb as his coach to your dog dying. Cobb was pretty well liked ... just didn't get results and several top recruits had off-court issues (i.e. 1996-97 recruiting class ... who still has a copy of the schedule poster from that year?).
