Well, I see that we won 2 conference games in 1997-98 and 3 Division I games overall. We have won 1 conference game so far this season and 3 Division I games. This is bad.

I know the record was worse then, but this has to be as bad as the Ric Cobb 3-24 year, doesn't it? I wasn't really following Milwaukee basketball at the time, so I can't say for sure. There were at least some expectations for this team this year, though. Funny you say that because I was just thinking that a few minutes ago. I was following the team and at UWM during that time ... and I agree. This team is worse than the 3-24 team. Reason being, that team was decimated by off-court issues and suspensions. I won't criticize the coaching staff for that because there's only so much you can control as a coach. And you can look at the scores, they were at least competitive in games. This team has no excuses. None.

I'm a UWM grad , was there during the 2003-06 glory years where we came within a minute of going to the tourney four consecutive times. if you had told me then that within 7 years this team would suck bad enough to rival the 94 squad i would have said you're on some serious dope. but nope, here we are.

12 FGs made, tying a program record for fewest in a game.

I hope not. If the ship is going to sink, we might as well do it right!

Dang, I thought this game was tomorrow. Another sign of how irrelevant we are.
A good coach would be so fed up at this point he would have got tossed from this game. Not Bobby Jeter. He probably just sat his butt on the bench.
What does he say in the timeouts? What does he say at halftime? What does he say after the game? On the bus? How depressing to be around this.
Just quit Jeter!

Thanks for changing the banner! Looks good. I should've done it at the beginning of the year to honor the 02-03 team, but figured this is a good week with next Saturday's festivities coming up.

Panthers were 14-20 from the foul line. Just think if the Panthers didn't get those points from the line.

"I'm not discouraged," said Jeter. "I know there's things these guys can do, and do a lot better."
Well, you should be discouraged.

...and Valpo thought they would never play another Mid-Con team again. Yeah, I'm back. It's like driving past a car accident -- you just cant look away. I didn't realize that Purdue-Calumet had joined the Summit. Seriously, look at Valpo's distribution of minutes (Fernandez, 16; Capobianco, 23). Bet they didn't expect a scrimmage at the beginning of February. Hack, 97, McDade, JG, Lou, Freak and several others who have long since left the board (that's about the size of our present coaching staff) could lead this team to more than 40 points. ... and every team member's jersey would be put on correctly, too.
