Heck of a game for Austin Arians and Ryan Haggerty. I've been saying for a while now that the Panthers should go with a line-up containing Arians, Haggerty, Gulley, and Panoske. It sure seemed to work tonight, especially with the way Jordan Aaron played tonight to be the fifth man in the lineup. He has been trying to go inside to get points all year, but tonight, I was impressed to hear he had 11 assists. We really need more of that out of him. 20 point games are nice, but as a point guard, he should be looking more for the 10 assist games.

Completely agree. He is in for 2 offensive possessions and turns it over once, and almost turns it over a 2nd time. Looks like he is playing scared, which is disappointing because I thought he had so much promise (and was someone who actually shot freethrows well!)

His scholarship status should definitely be reviewed at season's end. Either bump him down to Preferred Walk-on status, or maybe he'd have a better opportunity at a WIAC school? Seemed to have limitless potential not so long ago... Really a shame.

The "build it and they will come" theory does not generally work in sports, and has been proven to not work in Milwaukee. The KC is not the problem. Winning leads to crowds, not where you play. We do not have a formula for winning right now. Without it, it won't matter where we play.

I understand your point. However in collegiate athletics, especially basketball, facilities are critical in the recruiting process. Facilities are important to recruits, and by playing in a sub-par arena, it can certainly hurt attracting the best basketball recruits that the program targets.

Currently, Milwaukee is playing in the smallest arena in terms of capacity in its conference, the Horizon League. The Klotsche Center holds about 3,500 people. We are also playing in the same arena with that we played in when we were NCAA Division 3, Division 2, and NAIA with very little improvements in the arena except for new video boards placed in the corners.

From everyone I heard from at the game last night, Kelm isn't hurt. I think Jeter finally got tired of playing (what felt like) 5 on 4 when Kyle was in the game and got benched. And it worked! We're 1-0 with Kelm in Jeter's doghouse.

On top of that, did anyone else notice how much more productive we are offensively with Harris on the bench? I know Harris provides us with some power down low, but he just doesn't seem to have the ability to finish. When he does go strong at the hoop, he misses. And when he can't get to the hoop, he turns and throws up a bad shot.

I just hope Jeter gives the lineup of Aaron, Panoske, Gulley, Arians and Haggerty a shot to do what they did last night again against YSU. I think Arians got a little bit of confidence in the game yesterday... we can't follow that up by making him ride the bench on Saturday. This is our only lineup where any of our guys are a threat when left open for three. I'll take those odds over struggling to get Paris or J.O. open for three. We all saw how effective that was vs. Valpo.

Don't get me wrong, Haarsma and Harris are going to be contributors to this team. I would just rather see it happen when the other five guys get tired. Although there's not a doubt in my mind we'll see Haarsma and Harris in the starting lineup Saturday. I just hope they come out before the first TV timeout.

It wouldn't shock me if Kyle is back in the starting lineup Saturday and Austin gets only 15 minutes.
