Folks, those of you who know him, or just read him on this board, know there is no greater fan of the program. He is our own Grantland Rice, and the Panther community is Paul's family. But if you know him you also know he has focused so much of his energy the last few years on taking care of his elderly father. Last night, after a long, long struggle, his father passed. Paul's devotion to his dad through these difficult years was exemplary.
Please keep Paul and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Can't say enough about the kind of guy Paul is, and certainly couldn't have said it better than Fran just did. My thoughts are with the entire family...

I'm very blessed to have more than one family. This program means a great deal to me.
My dad always said that results are unpredictable, but effort is non-negotiable and he lived it every day to the end, fighting this insidious disease like he did every match.
Please, please help fund Alzheimer's research if you're able. It places a tremendous strain on families.
As for me, I'm ready for some non-life-threatening diversions.

I can attest to that. I watched my grandpa on my dad's side and grandma on my mom's side go through Alzheimer's. It's no picnic.
Paul and I have already spoken, but I can reiterate my condolences on here. I know how much your father meant to you and I know how much time you've spent with him, especially in these last few years. I'm sorry for your loss.
There's a Bakers Square in heaven that you'll surely visit together someday.

Paul,
Very sorry to hear of the passing of your father. The article in JS Online was very touching. Your dad obviously had a major positive impact on the lives of a lot of people and was a fine man. Why are we here or supposed to be here? To love and serve others and be a positive influence while we are here. Along with the sadness must be a feeling of pride as well. My thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Steve
