To clear something up, WCD got $3 per ticket sold. Plus, if there was over 800 students, $3 per student.

still it is 3 dollars a ticket
2 plus 1 = 3 x 60000 = 180000 plus the butler and uwm game so add about 2000 bucks, so talkign estmateable 183000 plus the 230000, plus 10000 for transportation plus other costs
and no revenue for concessions and parking
so i see it as 500 k saved, in 2 years thats a million dollars
in 20 years thats 10 mill
add in the new seg fees plus getting boosters and businesses involved and a dream can be a reality ......
as for the marketing....the department i think can convince ticket buyers to come back
as for students --- the AD and Levar need to be allowed to go all out and Lovell needs to cut thru the red tape and let whoever is running student life and the dorms and the unions and let the AD market as hard as possible to get students out, and be able to do events and marketing in the dorms, union and academic buildings
the union has alot of room , the dorms have alot of room for events, and the academic buildings have plenty of walls, plus we got the spaights plaza and the library, and get some interns and marketing majors out their and help with the program at a low cost....gotta have substance and backbone behind this and that needs activation
this is it,. this is the do or die point of getting the arena i think, need to go balls to the wall
as for geiger so far, i think he doing great
also thanks for your support on listening to the podcasts

My meeting today, they told me they mess out on $3 of the ticket sale. Plus, when there is over 800 students, they must pay that fee.

I don't think us season ticket holders should have our loyalty to the program questioned because we our hesitant in paying for 14+ games at the K.C. Imagine paying and watching for that many games there. I ALWAYS will support the program but going to games at the Mecca (Cell) was more convenient and enjoyable for my family and friends. The UWM Ticket office is an amazing group but they're gonna need a few gimmicks and tricks up their sleeves to retain the current base of season ticket holders while making the KC more fan friendly somehow. Fans/Season Ticket holders will come back around when a new arena (or better play on the court), returns. It doesn't matter if there's a plan in place or not for 3, 6, or 10 years down the road. Was County Stadium jammed packed the last few years before Miller Park opened?

That puts a different perspective on it. The JS article said we were paying $230,000 a year. I figured half of that saving would be lost due to non-renewals. On the other hand though, if this move costs us heavily in the area of recruitment, it won't matter what we saved, students, alumni and the casual fan won't come out to see a mediocre team play in a sub-standard facility.

Milwaukee will now be making money on parking passes & concessions, something that didn't happen at the Cell.
Some calls have came in with people happy that basketball is coming back to campus.

I'll be happy once I see that my seat assignment is staying in the same location at the KC.....the same spot it was in before we moved on to the Cell. Still wondering how they will handle the transition.......

In the end, I don't care where we play. My passion for the Black and Gold will never be touched by where I find my seat.

You can pick out your seats.

I believe that the marketing budget is about 350k. Now that could have changed in the past year.

At first I wasn't sure about this, but I will support the Panthers regardless of where they play. Plus I will take any excuse I can to get back to campus and the east side.

One of the most exciting, intense Panthers games I've seen in my 13 years as a season ticket holder was Badger game at the KC.......The Panthers on the verge of a huge upset until Harris steals the ball from Weisse with about 30 seconds left and scores. The KC was just insane during that game. I'll miss the old Arena...lots of memories there too.

One thing they could do with this facility if it was on campus is to lure touring bands to play there. So many colleges have great concerts and it would be cool to see UWM have the ability to do this too.
