Yesterday I saw Tony Meier walking through the union in a walking boot cast on crutches. Anyone know what happened or if he'll miss any reg. season games?

Wow didn't wanna hear that... Haven't heard a thing about him being hurt? Probably not a big deal. Do you remember how many games he missed last year after spending October in a boot? None.

I've seen those guys walking in a boot on campus on Tuesday and play on Thursday. If anything he will sit out tonight.

Not good news, but there always seems to be someone with a boot just before the season. If it's anything significant he needs to sit tonight, but if it's just a precautionary thing I'd like to see him play.

If he's on crutches he's not playing tonight. Just try to get him healthy by November 5.

Big news of the night:
Tony Meier will miss the next six to eight weeks with torn tendons in his calf after the final play of Saturday's scrimmage in which I'm told he finally channeled his inner Hedo Turkoglu.
The coaches hope to have him back by the UNI game on Dec. 10, but are apprehensive about rushing his recovery. There's no talk of a redshirt at this stage, but that's subject to change.

Best of luck to Meier on his recovery/rehab. Love watching him play ... he's very Pete Campbell-ish.

Terrific ambassador for the program.

Well, if Tony can come back for the UNI game that would be great! That's 9 games he would miss.
