Because their is absolutely no reason whatsoever to lose to Depaul this year. No excuse. None. Embarrassing loss if we do lose again. The game is on the road, I would think the Panthers would be an underdog. Get your head out of the Big East's crumbling ass. Just because a team is in a good conference doesn't mean they're a good team. See: DePaul, this decade. Just because a team isn't in a BCS conference doesn't mean they're a bad team. See: Butler, VCU, Marquette in 03, Cincinnati in 01, on and on. With the losses from their team they've sustained, I'd be disappointed if we came into their place as dogs.

Our game at DePaul last year may have been the nadir of the season. Those of us who were there were stunned by how badly we competed. DePaul was awful, and there was no excuse for the way we played.
I don't know if we will beat DePaul this year but I am morally certain we will not play like that again.

We didnt put our first points on the board until halfway through the first half. I agree with Fran we wont play like that again.

Actually Dunne, I recall the team getting off to quite a strong start and then disintegrating around some atrocious ball-handling and a rather discombobulated Anthony Hill.
Unless I'm mistaken, this performance precipitated Ant's benching against Bowling Green.

I had actually forgotten that Ant was benched, hard to believe considering how he finished last year. Tickets are incredibly cheap on stubhub so I encourage everyone to buy tickets and make the trip to Chicago.

I didn't say one damm thing about the Big East. The Panthers were an underdog last season at DePaul and lost. When has Rob Jeter had a key non-league win. Maybe, the home opener last season versus UNI.

Of the Panthers 19 victories last season, 12 of them were against teams who finished higher in the RPI than DePaul. So yes, it was an awful loss that I'd be devastated to see happen again. The only way someone could make the argument that we should have lost that game is if they deluded themselves into a conference vs. conference argument.

Good for those someones! It wasn't close in what I was talking about.
Bottomline, it hard to win on the road in college basketball.
