With the Season fast approaching I want to see some game by game predictions from the board. Here is how I see the season unfolding:
Game 1: Southwest Minnesota St.-W, 1-0-Our only non-D1 game so we should cruise easily. Game 2: @northern Illinois-W, 2-0- NIU is in major rebuilding mode and it’s not a long trip for us. Game 3: IUPUI-W, 3-0 Game 4: Texas Southern-W, 4-0 Game 5: @michigan St-L, 4-1- I would really love to see us win this one but I just can’t see it happening. Game 6: @arkansas-Little Rock-W, 5-1-NCAA tournament team a year ago so this may not be easy but I still see a W. Game 7: Loyola-W, 6-1 (1-0)-We start off Conference play at home with 2 games we should win without much resistance. Game 8: UIC-W, 7-1 (2-0) Game 9: @depaul- W, 8-1- They got us last year but heading into this season Depaul has suffered from injuries so there is no reason we can’t take this one. Game 10: @northern Iowa-L, 8-2 – We got them at the end last year. I expect a somewhat similar game this year but see Milwaukee falling just short. Game 11: Wisconsin-L, 8-3-If we were going to win any of the 3 games against MSU, UW, and MU this one would be it since it’s at the Cell but Wisconsin will be a good team this year in my opinion. Game 12: @marquette-L, 8-4 Game 13: @valparaiso-W, 9-4 (3-0) Game 14: @butler-L, 9-5 (3-1)-They lost Howard but Hinkle is NOT an easy place to play albeit we did win last year. Game 15: @western Michigan-W, 10-5 Game 16: Green Bay-W, 11-5 (4-1) Game 17: Wright St-W, 12-5 (5-1) Game 18: Detroit-W, 13-5 (6-1) Game 19: @youngstown St-W, 14-5 (7-1) Game 20: @cleveland St-L, 14-6, (7-2) Game 21: Butler-W, 15-6, (8-2)-Season split with Butler and hopefully a 3rd meeting in HLT. Game 22: Valparaiso-W, 16-6 (9-2) Game 23: Youngstown St-W, 17-6 (10-2) Game 24: @green Bay-W, 18-6 (11-2)-I like Green Bay this year but not enough for them to finish any higher than 5th. I think we beat them twice. Game 25: @detroit-L, 18-7 (11-3) Game 26: @wright St-L, 18-8 (11-4) Game 27: Cleveland St-W, 19-8 (12-4) Game 28: Bracket Buster-Who Knows? Game 29: @uic-W, 20-8 (13-4) Game 30: @loyola-W, 21-8 (14-4)-We end league play with back to back road wins and head into the HLT with a little momentum.
That’s a 21 win season pending the bracket buster and what we do in the HLT and any other post season tourney’s we may make. I am sure we will lose a horizon league game at home sometime during the year but I just couldn’t find one that I really thought we would lose.
So what do you guys see the Panthers doing this year?

I'm calling it now that we win the Wisconsin game. UW is half the team on the road that they are at home. 1. SMS: W (1-0) 2. @niu: L (1-1) (I think we'll lose at least one early season game that we should theoretically win easily. History certainly seems to suggest it, plus Kaylon might end up suspended. This one could be Western Michigan from last year.) 3. IUPUI: W (2-1) 4. UTS: W (3-1) 5. @msu: L (3-2) 6. @alr: L (3-3) 7. Loyola: W (4-3, 1-0) 8. UIC: W (5-3, 2-0) 9. @depaul: W (6-3) 10. @niu: W (7-3) 11. UW: W (8-3) 12. @mu: L (8-4) 13. valpo: L (8-5, 2-1) 14. @butler: L (8-6, 2-2) 15. @wmu: W (9-6, 2-2) 16. UWGB: W (10-6, 3-2) 17. WSU: W (11-6, 4-2) 18. Detroit: W (12-6, 5-2) 19. @ysu: W (13-6, 6-2) 20. @csu: W (14-6, 7-2) 21. Butler: W (15-6, 8-2) 22. Valpo: W (16-6, 9-2) 23. YSU: W (17-6, 10-2) 24. @uwgb: L (17-7, 10-3) 25. @detroit: W (18-7, 11-3) (Don't see us losing 2 games in a row at this point in the year. And we kind of own Detroit.) 26. @wsu: W (19-7, 12-3) 27. CSU: W (20-7, 13-3) 28. Bracketbuster: W (21-7, 13-3) (I think our growing at-large chances at this point will motivate us to win this, FOR ONCE) 29. @uic: W (22-7, 14-3) 30. @loyola: W (23-7, 15-3)

Not bloody likely.

You can sustain one. 1 bad loss, at our level, and be at-large.
Butler lost to Evansville last year in OT last year and were on the bubble until the title game.

Game 1: Southwest Minnesota St.-W, 1-0 Jeter takes a job with another team after the win. Hope only the best for him in his future endeavors. He might be a new sponsor for Bowflex (see above pic) Game 2: @northern Illinois-W, 2-0 Game 3: IUPUI-W, 3-0 Game 4: Texas Southern-W, 4-0 Game 5: @michigan St-W, 5-0 Huge win for rookie head coach Game 6: @arkansas-Little Rock-W, 6-0 Game 7: Loyola-W, 7-0 (1-0) Game 8: UIC-W, 8-0 (2-0) Game 9: @depaul- W, 9-0 Game 10: @northern Iowa-W, 10-0 Game 11: Wisconsin-W, 11-0 Amazing win for program. Badgers fans are stunned. Half the Badgers were benched or Panthers would have not chance, but its a win anyways. James Wright wins contest at halftime by hitting a half court shot. Game 12: @marquette-W, 12-0 Amazing win for program. Not really that amazing when you remember that half the fan base was hanging out at their dad's dentist office so the home team had no fans attending. Game 13: @valparaiso-W, 13-0 (3-0) Game 14: @butler-W, 14-0 (4-0) B-Futler "Our actual rival" Game 15: @western Michigan-W, 15-0 Game 16: Green Bay-W, 16-0 (5-0) dregs of conference Game 17: Wright St-W, 17-0 (6-0) Game 18: Detroit-L, 17-1 (6-1) Have to lose 1. Coach someone not named Jeter needs to prove a point anyways. Game 19: @youngstown St-W 18-1 (7-1) Win by 35 Game 20: @cleveland St-W 19-1, (8-1) Close one due to key injury Game 21: Butler-W, 20-1, (9-1) This game marks the return of the Panther noise after a particular player hitting a 3 point shot. (as in "RONNIE JONES! [insert panther noise])) Also, this is impromtu Clay Tucker Bobblehead day. Something I would buy plane tickets for. Nate Mielke, Dylan Page and Clay himslef attend. Game 22: Valparaiso-W, 21-1 (10-1) Game 23: Youngstown St-W, 22-1(11-1) Game 24: @green Bay-W, 23-1 (12-1) GB quits at half. Cheers of "we only care about the Packers anyways" start. Game 25: @detroit-W, 24-1 (13-1) Game 26: @wright St-W, 25-1 (14-1) Game 27: Cleveland St-W, 26-1 (15-1) Game 28: Bracket Buster-Who Knows? We'll win anyways Game 29: @uic-W, 28-1 (16-1) Game 30: @loyola-L, 28-2 (16-2) Not-Jeter benches entire team besides a few fans who lose in a close game. Loyola is offended by this display, but it's not like they can do much about it anyways. #29 Lemke hits the final shot to make it a 1 point loss.
I guess we can handle 28-2 and win conference champs. The 2 losses will be tough, but we will be strong as a fan base. Allen wins conference player of the year. Avery Smith comes back as assistant coach.

I'd also be #14, because it mean I'd be between 13 and 15.

Hello all, new to the forum...but definitely not to Panther basketball.
I think we will have a good season again with us competing with Detroit and Butler for the league championship. So here are my predictions for the games this season:
Game 1: Southwest Minnesota St.-W, 1-0 Game 2: @northern Illinois-W, 2-0 Game 3: IUPUI-W, 3-0 Game 4: Texas Southern-W, 4-0 Game 5: @michigan St-L, 4-1..We should be competitive, but I think playing on the road at the Breslin Center will be the ultimate decider. Game 6: @arkansas-Little Rock-W, 5-1 Game 7: Loyola-W, 6-1 (1-0) Game 8: UIC-W, 7-1 (2-0) Game 9: @depaul- W, 8-1 Game 10: @northern Iowa-L, 8-2 Game 11: Wisconsin-L, 8-3..Should be a good game expecially since it is at home with hopefully alot more Panthers fans than Badgers fans. Game 12: @marquette-L, 8-4 Game 13: @valparaiso-W, 9-4 (3-0) Game 14: @butler-L, 9-5 (3-1) Game 15: @western Michigan-W, 10-5 Game 16: Green Bay-W, 11-5 (4-1) Game 17: Wright St-W, 12-5 (5-1) Game 18: Detroit-W, 13-5 (6-1) Game 19: @youngstown St- W, 14-5 (7-1) Game 20: @cleveland St-L, 14-6, (7-2) Game 21: Butler-W, 15-6, (8-2) Game 22: Valparaiso-W, 16-6 (9-2) Game 23: Youngstown St-W, 17-6 (10-2) Game 24: @green Bay-L, 17-7 (10-3) Game 25: @detroit-L, 17-8 (10-4) Game 26: @wright St-W, 18-8 (11-4) Game 27: Cleveland St-W, 19-8 (12-4) Game 28: Bracket Buster- Game is at home, so definitely is a winnable game. Game 29: @uic-W, 20-8 (13-4) Game 30: @loyola-W, 21-8 (14-4)
Im predicting a 21-8 season with a 14-4 conference record in the Horizon League. Hopefully that can give us the 1 seed again to host the HL Tourney come this March.
