Hey guys - Sorry it took me a while to post. I wanted to give you some more information and answer some of the questions in the other thread... We have 5 current Panthers this year - Ryan Allen, Tony Meier, Ryan Heaggerty, Kyle Kelm and James Haarsma. Many former Panthers including - Avery Smith, Ricky Franklin, Jason Averkamp, Joah Tucker, Allen Hanson, Deion James, Derek Wimmer and Ryan Mueller. Yes, I would have loved to get all of the current players, and it is likely that the entrance fee is the issue there. Not much I can do as the league costs quite a bit to run and the NCAA does not allow us to charge at the door - great for fans, rough for the college kids. Don't quite understand the NCAA's thinking there, but not much I can do. There were questions about two players, Chris Fitzgerald and Montrell Hawthorne. Fitz played last year, is a student at UWM but not a hoops player. Will try to make an adjustment there. Same with Hawthorne, and I thought I corrected that, but they fill out the registration forms and until I dig in and find out what the story is, I have no way on knowing the background. Hope to see many of you tonight, tomorrow and throughout July and August, you can't beat seeing some of your favorite players on free admission!! Details: www.MilwaukeeProAm.com

The league looks great this season, as there is now 10 teams in the pro-am. It's great to see more Panthers in the pro-am this season. I can't wait for tonight!

Is it within NCAA rules for us to pay for our athletes to compete? For instance, could I raise money through PantherU to put X player into the Milwaukee Pro-Am?

Yes and no. Yes, players can be sponsored, but no, not the way you described.
Also note for UWM fans, late registrations came in for Anthony Hill who did play this weekend, and Jerard Ajami who will start play next weekend.
