Two members of the University of Louisville women’s basketball program have left the team, according to a school release.
Sophomore guard Rachel Story and freshman forward Polly Harrington – who both saw limited minutes for the Cardinals – will transfer.
“I have enjoyed coaching both Rachel and Polly here at Louisville,” U of L coach Jeff Walz said. “They are both talented young women that have a lot of great opportunities ahead of them. They will always be a part of our basketball family and we wish them nothing but success.”
The 5-foot-7 Story, a native of Milwaukee, saw action in 51 games during her two seasons in the program. She averaged 11.2 minutes as a freshman and 5.6 as a sophomore, scoring 66 points as a freshman and just 14 this season.
The 6-foot Harrington was the only member of the six-player top-five recruiting class for U of L last season not ranked in the ESPN HoopGurlz top 100. She played in 16 games, averaging 5.1 minutes and just 1.8 point.
Walz is still recruiting at least three players to fill the roster spots. McDonald’s All- American Bria Smith will visit U of L on Wednesday and then head to Tennessee. She is the No. 8 player nationally in the HoopGurlz rankings.U of L is also in the mix for French pointguard Monny Esther Niamke and Jude Schimmel, the younger sister of freshman Shoni Schimmel.

Rachel Story was ranked 15th in her position coming out of high school. She's a point guard.
The Panthers signed five players last fall, so i don't know if they have a scholarship available.
