Finally JS recognized the Panthers' accomplishment in Sunday's paper with full front page, full-color honors.
Also, in today's UWM report, the Who's Hot is...The neon-yellow shoes!!! Kudos to Adidas for bringing them to Jeter and kudos for Jeter having the cajones to try them out.
And to cap it off, JSOnline has this poll: Which of the state's Div-1 men's basketball coaches has done the best job this year?
After 1,423 votes:
Bo Ryan: 67%
Rob Jeter: 23%
Buzz Williams: 8%
Brian Wardle (Obviously only on this poll as a filler): 2%
Nice to know that many recognize the season the Panthers had, and hopefully the JS continues to give hot coverage.

I won't address the polls. Whatever's less than irrelevant, that's what they are.
As for the coverage, it's somehow magically improved since the first of the year.
Any theories?

"Any theories?"
This guy I know, Paul, is actually ghost writing for Enlund.
Am I close?

As for the coverage, it's somehow magically improved since the first of the year. Any theories? The Badgers' overwelming coverage is expected, but MU didn't really do alot of big things this year...at least not as big as UW beating OSU and the Panthers sweeping Butler. I'm guessing someone at the JS finally realized how much the Panthers have been getting ignored...that and winning 9 conference games in a row and somehow winning the 3-way tie for 1st place helps alot.

Well, I think Tom does a mostly terrific job and has for the last two years.
Maybe it has something to do with the person assigning the stories, writers and photos?

If you look at the comment numbers on JsOnline, it shows that readers care about Panther Basketball.
I don't get the paper, but I'm glad to hear that the Sunday paper had the Panthers on the front page. It brought a tear to my eye.
Like I said last week, I don't know if I'm right or wrong, but let's keep blogging as well on JsOnline to show there are Panther fans out there.

The ony reason they are getting more coverage is because they are playing so great right now. Had this been an average season the coverage still would have been crappy. All the good things that people want for this program (respect, coverage, support for an arena, student support) will come through winning, not whining as many on this board are prone to do. Play basketball at a high level and these things are going to come.

The Bucks being sh*tty helps our cause as well. Howard always insisted on giving them more coverage than they deserve.
