Here's my take on what to get at some of the joints around the Cell: The "Other" burger at Trinity Three. One of the best burgers downtwon. The wings at Goolsbys. Major's Chili is pretty solid too. Pretty much any sausage item from the Old German Beer hall and grab a stick of Landjager to snack on at the Cell. The Bomber Burger at AJ Bombers. A burger topped with a cheese stuffed, deep fried portabello mushroom cap. Beer cheese soup at Miller Time Pub (pretty solid burgers too) I run a food blog at www.eatwisconsin.com which has some more in-depth reviews of local restaurants.

I used to work at Trinity--it's a fun place to eat. The new Irish food is amazing.

Wow. I never even knew it closed. Just did the search and sure enough ... must've missed out on that news. Listing is updated with Turners removed. I'm honestly surprised Turner's stayed open as long as it did. It never seemed very popular.

+1 on ricestillfumbled - I have friends who like going to Trinity, and whenever I met them post-game, I'd have Marquette fans go out of their way to come make fun of me for being a Panther fan.
I don't go to Trinity anymore unless I'm in plain clothes and won't be harassed.

I have worn UWM stuff to Trinity and never had a problem. Also so what if Marquette fans talk smack about your UWM fandoom.

Hector's on Delaware in Bay View is also a nice classy Mex/bar. The food is affordable. It's in a nice SE neighborhood and parking is at abundance.

What do you guys think of the Historic Third Ward area? Coming from Detroit I am looking for an area within walking distance of the arena that would be good for spending a few hours shopping, walking around, etc.

Definitely a fun area to walk around (like most places in Milwaukee, better to walk around in the summertime). Might be on the edge of walking distance from the arena ... unless you like to walk a couple miles. www.historicthirdward.org/

dtowntitan, The Third Ward is an excellent place to kill some time. it's about a mile south of the arena. If you are coming with a companion, there a bunch of good shops/eaterys on Broadway St. and Water St. The likes of Anthropolgie, various artist's studios, some good furniture stores (but I can't imagine you'd be in the market for those items right now). My favorite food joints.... Broadway St. The Milwaukee Public Market- spans the entire block from water to broadway on St Paul St. It offers all types of food genres, if you like beer, wine, cheese, and seafood it should be a must for you. The Wicked Hop- right across the street has great food and one of the best bloody mary's in town. Swig- is a good upscale Italian restaurant. Water St.- Milwaukee Ale house- decent food better beer, which they brew themselves. Rustico- excellent pizza Water Buffalo- great food, and they make home brews too too bad ryan brauns is closed for renovations.... if you feel like venturing further south on Water st... just across the river you'll find, Stack'd- awesome burger place next door is Aterra coffee house, for your caffeine kick. If French food is your thing Coquette- on Milwaukee St. is an excellent choice. The Italian Community Center is down there too. Hope it helps, folks fill in any gaps I missed

Trinity may be full of Marquette dinks, but the waitress eye candy is tough to beat.

Trinity may be full of Marquette dinks, but the waitress eye candy is tough to beat. I concur. I think Goolsby's should recruit from there.

Badger fan who lives in Milwaukee here who will be in the arena tonight cheering on the Panthers. Water Street/3rd Street is pretty much covered, but Bar Louie, for a chain, has decent food on Water, across from Water Street Brewery. Third Ward: Water Buffalo ( waterbuffalomilwaukee.com/) is a nice place for drinks and food. It's at Water Street and Buffalo, shockingly. Wicked Hop has excellent drinks and decent food. It's a block from Water Buffalo on Broadway. thewickedhop.com/Brady Street area: Trocadero www.ztrocadero.com/, great beer selection for beer snobs Cempazuchi (best Mexican in town) www.cempazuchi.com/main_page.html
