I realize that women's tennis has most likely never been discussed her but i noticed that there program seems to be taking major steps forward this season. Maddy Soule, who is a Sophomore . transfer from Texas just beat Wisconsin's star #1 singles player this weekend 6-3,6-3 in Madison. This is the first time any player from Milwaukee has beaten a player from University of Wisconsin and even more impressive that it was at the top position.
The team is really doing well as well. They are currently 4-3 with 3 wins over teams that beat them last season already and 1 win away from last years win total with 12 matches to play. I hope they get some support this season and if students see Maddy Soule around campus they congratulate her on an historic win.
Just thought i would let people know--- Go Panthers!

Didn't they lose to UW 6-1?

Yes they did lose 6-1 but to have Milwaukee's #1 player and recruit beat UW #1 player and recruit it is a great step in the right direction.
With next years recruiting class coming in (rated ahead of Marquettes in national scout rankings) the depth of the team will improve and these matches will get closer all the way down the line-up.
It is progress

Freshman Kristin Kurer played at Port Washington.......and she definitely has some talent. I saw her play last year at Slinger High School, and then I watched her beat up on a girl from Bradley 6-0, 6-1 at Pleasant Valley a few weeks ago. Its a fun team to watch...and its good tennis.

Yeah Kristin is a very good player and the team is fun to watch. I know a lot of the local high school and younger girls tennis players are starting to follow the team and want to wear Panther gear which is cool. I have heard good things about the program around the community and hope the Athletic Department gives them the needed support so they can compete with the rest of the conference

UIC is going to be pretty hard, considering they haven't lost a conference game since what...1997?

Good luck to the Panthers tomorrow!! It's great that they made the tourney, despite all of their injuries......and I'll be happier than heck to have them knock of Butler.

Butler was healthy and played well against our Lady Panthers this afternoon...scoring a 4-0 victory. The Panthers were without their #1 singles player, Maddy Soule. The Panthers face Wright State tomorrow morning for 5th place. Go, Fight, Win Panthers!!

Looks like the Panthers a off to a pretty good start this season. I hated seeing us go 0 and 0 against WI and Marquette.
