The Panthers are off to an 0-2 start, and while the 4-0 score of Friday may not seem close and the 7-6 score yesterday does, the truth is both were waaaay closer. Tennessee got a three-run inning on Friday off of Chad Pierce, who collected himself and threw four scoreless after that (the first was also scoreless). Milwaukee outhit Tennessee by 10-8 on Friday. On Saturday, the Vols eliminated a 3-1 Panther lead and then cruised out to 7-3 before Milwaukee clawed back into it in the eighth and ninth. The final out came with the tying and go-ahead runs on base. The story here? Panthers leave 21 stranded in first two days of seriesPantherU is going to be covering baseball with as much emphasis as basketball. I will explain why on a post later today.

Nobody else totally psyched about a Panther victory at Tennessee?
Don't worry, I'll cover it in my blog Tuesday.

Nobody else totally psyched about a Panther victory at Tennessee? Don't worry, I'll cover it in my blog Tuesday. I'm stoked about the win!!! Super job Panthers. I'm so jealous of Dr. (Coach) Kieper and his Concordia Falcons, who are breaking ground on their beautiful new facility on May 3rd. Jimmy, Panther baseball needs Miller Park as their home. I got the chance to watch the Lady Panther tennis team at Pleasant Valley a few weeks ago. It was very cool!!

Yikes...Detroit dropped their team a few years ago...not looking too good for Horizon League baseball and especially Northern baseball.

Cleveland State, last year, was the last non-football Horizon League school that considered adding it.
It would be considerably easier for them to do so now.
