I'm curious to see what kind of fan turnout CSU gets. Traditionally, it's pretty sparse (and that's stating it nicely). With the Cav's in the toilet, you wonder if Cleveland has taken notice? I thought I saw 8,000-plus for Butler. Frankly, this game is much bigger than that one.
I like your confidence Dylan. Mine is tempered by injury. An able Ryan, Ant, and Kaylon will be crucial to tonight's success - obviously.
Crash the boards, find a couple hot shooters, avoid silly fouls and turnovers - we win. I fully expect Milwaukee to play with a chip on its shoulder. A start similar to @ Loyola would certainly be welcome.

www.midmajority.com/p/1930Horizon League: With an 80-67 win over Missouri State, Valparaiso notched one of the more emphatic wins of BracketBusters and one of the most vile victimizations of the Valley. Back in league play on Monday night, the Crusaders were shocked at Green Bay -- one of the only teams to lose to the MVC over the weekend -- in an 81-80 overtime decision. The Phoenix yanked destiny out of Valpo's hands, setting up a thrilling final week of the regular season. The prize: the one-seed and hosting duties for the final two rounds of the tourney. Cleveland State (new/old first place team, one-half game up) and Butler (hottest team with a six-game win streak) are the 12-win clubs, but superiority-in-context has led to a deep tiebreaker matrix, including Milwaukee's sweep over Butler and the Bulldogs' sweep over Cleveland State. All of this sets up what could end up as the game of the year: Thursday night in Cleveland, CSU Vikings and UWM Panthers. We will be there.

Would've been nice if that article mentioned that if UWM wins its final two game that it is the top seed and hosts the quarters and semis next weekend. Glaring omission in the story. They must have heard the complaints. When i read the story this morning, these paragraphs were in it:
The top two seeds for the league tournament earn a bye into the semifinals. The top seed also receives an automatic bid into the NIT should that team not qualify for the NCAA Tournament and gets to host the semifinals of the Horizon tournament.
If UWM loses one or both games, it most likely would finish in fourth place, which still would allow it to host a first-round Horizon game.
"It's what you talk about at the beginning of the season, to have a chance to win a championship," said Jeter. "So we have to embrace that opportunity and go out and have fun."
Those paragraphs were in the story already. What it doesn't say that is if UWM wins both, it not only claims a share of the regular season title but also wins the No. 1 seed through tiebreakers.

This obviously Jeters biggest game since his first year and I think its the biggest of overall because this is his team. Lets take the first step to moving back to the top echelon of the Horizon league by winning tonight.

My key to the game is Montgomery, he is deadly from outside and if he goes off we have no chance of winning. I would put Allen on Montgomery and allow Boyle to guard Cole.

I was thinking of going to Mad Dog Saloon on 76th Street, but not sure now, they will probably have the Marquette game on.
Anyone around West Allis going out to watch this one?

This is one of the few times I'm thankful to have TWC. If I had to watch a UWM game at a bar surrounded by MU fans, I'd go absolutely nuts. Especially if (god forbid) UWM loses and MU wins.

"Is anyone going to watch at the gasthaus?"
Doesn't it suck that we even have to ask that question? Will the game be shown at our own school? Sad.
Anyway, yes I believe it will be on, but they will be using the Horizon League website feed.

Jeff, I think I'm gonna be staying on the west side of town to watch the game. Amann's? I was thinking of Mad Dog's, but Amann's will work for me. Plus we can probably ask them to turn up the sound for us. I'm waiting for someone to call me. She won't get back to me 'till after 4:30pm. I'll suggest Amann's. (And no, unfortunately, it's not the chick I brought to the Valpo game.) I should be there around 5:45pm.

My dad says that dart tourneys start at Amann's at 7:30 and they wouldn't turn up the volume. If it were tomorrow and he opened he would, but he doubts we could get the volume up unless we have a lot of people watching the game there.
