Norris Cole will get his points -- I don't care who you put on him. What we have to make sure is that Tre Harmon or Tim Kamczyk or Aaron Pogue don't go off on us because we are so focused on Cole. CSU has a lot of weapons. Fran is right. It wasn't Cole that killed us in game 1, it was Montgomery. Cole can score 35 points; that doesn't necessarily mean that Cleveland State will win. Hint hint.

Cole will get his points, no doubt. He is not their only threat, no doubt. But he is their biggest threat. Ryan's D has been more and more impressive every game, and I'd like to see that presence make Cole uncomfortable from the get-go. Montgomery, Pogue, Harmon etc are also threats, but I wouldn't change the starting rotation for any of them (again in the case of Pogue, I'd like to see more minutes for Carter) The best option for Cole, imo, is Ryan Allen.

I'm totally with K-Raw. I don't want Norris getting 12 points before the under-16 timeout ... and getting into a comfort zone before we even sub Ryan into the game.
By the way, another key to this game is crashing the glass. Did you see what Old Dominion did to the Vikings on Sunday? I don't think I've ever seen a team dominated inside like that.
You've got to be aggressive to the boards and make Aaron Pogue rebound outside his area.

I want a win as much as anyone tonight but I question how we are going to be able to stop them at their place. They dominated us when they came to the Cell, and I know we are better but I still think they will be too much.

We lost last year on a crazy play at the end by Norris Cole. He hit a 3 as time expired, if memory serves me correct. We can beat that at home

Would've been nice if that article mentioned that if UWM wins its final two games that it is the top seed and hosts the quarters and semis next weekend. Glaring omission in the story.

Panthers are a 8.5 point underdog.
Panthers must limit the turnovers versus CSU full-court press.

"Panthers must limit the turnovers versus (CSU's) full-court press."
Yes, but don't just play to minimize the turnovers; play to make them pay for their press. When they attack Milwaukee defensively, I hope the Panthers attack them right back. I've always believed that Kaylon plays better in the open court anyway.
As for Tom's article, I have to agree with Hack. It must not only be mentioned that Milwaukee is vying for a share of the title, but that it's aiming to host the Horizon League championships and can do so with a sweep of this weekend's games. This is a major piece of information.

We are obviously underdogs in this game for a reason, no surprise there. We are playing a good team, at their place, and after the beatdown they gave us in Milwaukee - I can't argue with Vegas' line. But that is the beauty of sports (college specifically). You never know what's going to happen.
Do I expect to win tonight? Well, to be honest - not really. Do I think we have a chance of winning tonight? Absolutely. This team is something special when they are on. We obviously can't turn the ball over 15+ times tonight, miss open 3s, and get out-rebounded if we want to win. But if Ant can be a force down low, draw a double team and find an open man - we will be in this thing. And if Tone can hit some early 3's, I'll feel much more confident about the game.
Cleveland State has more pressure on them to win tonight then we do. They have the #1 spot right now and are expected to win tonight. I think they fully believe they will be hosting the tourney this year. This is our chance to spoil their party and bring some excitement to our city.
I just hope our guys are as pumped up for this game as I am.

Well, I would argue that ours is a much better team than it was when the teams last met and that the Panthers obviously ironed out some chemistry issues in Valpo on the night of Jan. 21.
I frankly feel very confident about this game tonight, provided all of our players are able to go full-tilt.
"We're nobody's underdog."

What's the plan? What bar are we taking over?
If you guys are staying on campus, I'll probably hit some place around 'Stallis.

I'm going to Karma (Ogden Ave, near Eastpoint Pick n Save). I'm 90% certain they have Time Warner, and 100% certain that they have 2 for 1 rails and mixers until 7p.

Would've been nice if that article mentioned that if UWM wins its final two game that it is the top seed and hosts the quarters and semis next weekend. Glaring omission in the story. They must have heard the complaints. When i read the story this morning, these paragraphs were in it:
The top two seeds for the league tournament earn a bye into the semifinals. The top seed also receives an automatic bid into the NIT should that team not qualify for the NCAA Tournament and gets to host the semifinals of the Horizon tournament.
If UWM loses one or both games, it most likely would finish in fourth place, which still would allow it to host a first-round Horizon game.
"It's what you talk about at the beginning of the season, to have a chance to win a championship," said Jeter. "So we have to embrace that opportunity and go out and have fun."
