I'm exhausted right now, given that this game didn't end until after 1:30 a.m.
I give the team an A+ through the first 38 1/2 minutes. From that point, it probably worked its way down to a high-B with free-throw shooting that, combined with the officiating, turned the game into an adventure.
srt kept saying, "It's over," but until Tony hit that second of two with under 10 seconds left, there was still way too much life left in the Vikes ... and too much time left for the refs to do something strange.
Those were three officials of whom I've never heard and hope I never hear from again.
Anyway, these are the Panthers many of us have touted since October. Isn't it great, unlike previous league coaches, to have a head man whose team plays its best down the stretch.

FYI, this win, the 12th of the year in conference play, gives Milwaukee their most conference wins in the Rob Jeter era. Technically it ties the most wins we were 12-4 in Robs first year. Just another reason to win that last game. Another reason is it will be Rob's 100th win at Milwaukee. |

Bill said "hacks" - a bunch of hacks and one great player. Thanks for the clarification BP. I'm happy to hear I was wrong. Apologies to Bill for throwing that out there. Stunning turnaround by this program but, then again, this seems to be the mo; slow starts and fast finishes. Better this way than the other way. It would only be fitting to bring this thing home against YSU. Stay focused and finish! I certainly don't want to start a pissing match over Bill's comments...However, I thought it was classless! |

The rest of that team IS a bunch of hacks. And based upon the opinions voiced on the CSU message board, I would say that many of their fans agree. |

It doesn't matter what the fans say, considering this board was crawling with people saying Jeter should be fired a couple of months ago. As for Cleveland State, Tre Harmon and Montgomery are monsters. Nowhere close to being hacks. They have very little in the way of forwards and absolutely no bench, but they've got at least three very good players. And I wouldn't necessarily call Kamczyk a hack either. |

Not to be negative about the game since we shot lights out most of the night and won... but does anyone else feel that our defense fell for the pump-fake just a little too often? Kaylon specifically. We can't allow teams to score those easy baskets by going right past us to the hoop. Especially during those times we need a big defensive stop. It seemed to happen quite a few times towards the end of the game.
But like I said, we won. And I think we'll win tomorrow. I just think we'd be able to have some more blow out victories if we can tighten up our defense.

I actually wouldn't have had a problem with him calling them "thugs". They play street ball most of the time. |

They are banged up from ankles to knees to wrists to ribs to shoulders. Some are bad enough that you wouldn't find other players on other teams playing. They are fighting together and won't let each other down! Yet it's nice to get on here and see yet another critical post about biting on a "shot fake" are you serious? Save that for an 0-8 run. I apologize if you weren't aware that they are on an 8-0 conference run and 2400 secs away from winning the league. |
