Hand it to WSU for shooting so well, but this is really frustrating. The occasional nice set play, (the one where Ant muscled one in after getting it from Ja'Rob) but otherwise pass around the arc and eventually chuck a three or work it inside and try and get one while doubleteamed. Arrrrgghhhhh.

All in all not a terrible half. More competitive than the 11 points would indicate. Offensively we look great. We're getting to the basket and getting easy buckets on backdoor cuts ect. Opening things up for good looks from the outside. Tony is also shooting the ball well, making me eat crow for once suggesting he wasn't a consistent outside threat.
Turnovers and defense are still killing us. We're letting another team shoot way better than 50% for a half, and the majority of their shots have been open. Lets shore up in the 2nd half and maybe we can be in it late.

12 made field goals and nine turnovers.
Pathetic.
Who cares if you shoot 48% when you can't hang on to the ball?

Williams has 4 pts 4assts and a rebound then makes one turnover and he's pulled too much of this and with him off the court good luck finding the open man. They lose ground every time they take him out. Even in losses the deficit gets greater when he's on the bench. So now a player has in the back of his mind if he screws up he's gone. No confidence in the players then no confidence in the team. Too bad, they have talent. Sometimes players do need to sit if they don't produce or have an off night but I don't believe you can determine that from one play. This team should be much better than this.

A controlled-transition 3. We used to shoot/make those.

Cleveland State all over again. They're shooting the lights out, I'm not sure we're actually running an offensive set 80% of the time. GFD.

Evans is killing Kaylon Williams.
Not sure which has poorer execution, the offense or defense. It's definitely a tight battle.

I want the Kaylon Williams that led the MVC in assists as this man is obviously an imposter.

Panthers look slow...this reminds me a little of the CSU effort.

Not trying to be negative here ... but knowing how "tough" (whether or not that's truly the case) it is to win games on the road in conference, we could be looking at a 1-5 team after next Saturday.
I think they'll steal one (hopeful for two) in that stretch.

I hope Costello is watching this game. He damn well should be.
