Boyle with his 7 for 14 from three versus Bowling Green, what happen to Tone driving to hoop or taking some 12 foot jumpers?

When a guy hits 7 three pointers in a game, the question should be why hasn't he done that all year, not what happened to him driving to the hoop and taking 12 foot jumpers....that obviously wasn't getting it done for him and the team in the past so he is going back to where his strength and confidence is...lets face it, he is a Jason Bohannon mold of player (shoot the 3 and thats it) in this system and has no reason to drive, leave that for the bigger athletic players....

What? Are you kidding me. Tone Boyle has shown that he can take it to the basketball and cut to the basketball for 12 footers. That was a big part of his game two years ago. We can not have a new team that lives or dies with the three.

SCORING GP FG-FGA FG% 3FG-FGA 3PT% FT-FTA FT% PTS PTS/G Boyle, Tone......... 30 122-325 .375 66-183 .361 86-112 .768 396 13.2 Considering that more that 50% of his made FG and FGA were 3 pointers im not really seeing how you can say that layups and jump shots were a big part of his game....the fact that he had 21 games two years where he attempted 5 or more threes should be pretty obvious what his game is... started 30 games ... led the Panthers in scoring and in three-pointers made led the way with 21 points in win over Detroit Dec. 4, making 5-of-7 from the floor, including 3-of-4 on three-point attempts take a look for yourself....game by game stats.....the man is a 3 point shooter....that is the big part of his gam i back it up with the facts.... uwmpanthers.cstv.com/auto_pdf/p_hotos/s_chools/wiml/sports/m-baskbl/auto_pdf/boylestatpacknot saying you have to have a team that lives and dies with the three, but you have to have players that can make the three when it counts...leave the driving to kaylon, lonnie, and mccalum, and like we saw in the highlights kick it out to Tone and let him knock down the three....without Boyle's three's in that game we lose, no if's, and's, or but's about it... i may not post alot on this board, but i follow the team and the board closely and know my sh*t...

So Tone should not shoot a 2 pts shot again. No. He's saying that this team can win if Tone Boyle is primarily a 3-point shooter. And I agree. If that's Tone's role, he can play it, and play it well. The bigger problem is that we don't have any really defined roles for many of our players.
