Yes, it's true that we need to improve on our free throw shooting, but to be fair, Rob doesn't get to shoot them, the players do.

Meh, that's always been a fallacious argument. Coaches don't ever do anything on the court/field/diamond.

I know it's only been 40-some odd minutes of basketball in this young season, but I have not been impressed by Mitchell Carter up to this point whatsoever...

Meh, that's always been a fallacious argument. Coaches don't ever do anything on the court/field/diamond. I don't think there's anything fallacious about that. They practice free throws, when they miss them in the game, it's not the coach's fault.

Apparently the Ja'Rob-at-PG experiment is officially over

Portland isn't updating the feed. O'Connor's blog is up, but all he's offering are individual plays and the score.
However, I can guarantee you that UWM hasn't made a free throw yet.

But it's an argument that can be made about absolutely anything. It totally removes culpability from the coach. I agree, but I think in this instance it's true. We're not talking about a coach putting a player in a bad situation or poor team defense. We're talking about the execution of a free throw, which can only be controlled by the knee bend and follow through of a player's shot. Nothing a coach can do about Tone and Ant missing 4 throws... Remember in the first exhibition that they did very well with their throws.

Panthers are getting consistently out-muscled on the glass. Kelm at this point is their best rebounder.

UWM hasn't led yet this season. 50+ minutes in.

Oddly enough, it's Haggerty that sinks both free throws.

Quite obvious that we're using this tournament to figure out our rotation. Already 11 of 14 available players have seen the court...
