Im not worried, the season is too young. Our FT's and defense seem to be what’s holding us back. I believe our defense will improve as the season continues, its challenging to make meaningful adjustments when you play 3 games in 3 days. As for the free-throws, the panthers have been a 69-70% FT shooting team over the past 8 seasons and I believe that is simply a function of having a mix of college level basketball players on these team. In the past 8 seasons we've never shot less than 66% from the line. Right now we sit at 48%, so I expect to see some mean reversion occurring as we move forward.
Again, not worried. We have a team full of talent and an incredible TRUE point guard who is still getting acclimated to D1 game speed with his teammates. When you look passed the putrid defense and awful FT% there are a lot of promising things to be excited about with this squad.
I don't expect our performance today to be night-and-day with what we've seen thus far this weekend. But the panthers will come out looking to prove something. I don't expect a blowout, but a convincing win.
WAR MILWAUKEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

After two games... No I'm still not worried or jumping ship. Consider me worried, but never jumping ship...

Keep your best defensive team on the floor. Ant, Kyle, Kaylon, Allen, Lonnie, Hags, Ja'Rob, etc.
Limit Boyle's minutes. He's a poor shooter right now and he's hurting an otherwise impressive offense by taking too many shots, taking them too soon, and missing most of them.
Keep getting to the line. If anything you'll end up with valuable free throw practice. At best, they'll start to fall regularly.
Limit the rotation. No Christian Wolf, no Patrick Souter. You don't need Ajami to be a good team.
Don't let up when you get on a run. Don't ever feel comfortable.
You're still most effective in the lane. Go inside.

if you have ja'rob as one fo the best defenders on the team thats just a joke. Ajami does the dirty work for the guards. he guards the best player more often than not and he was the best defender on the team last year at the guard position. jeter has a rotation every year. he goes off of it only when the players on that rotation start sucking it up.
