I'm surprised that they aren't airing the Butler game on ESPNU...thought that would draw more viewers than Valpo...But I like that more games are being on TV, period...should draw more viewers and hopefully more fans at the games.

UWM at Butler is on a Sunday. ESPNU does it's Horizon League games on Friday nights.

Jimmy- I like your story on PantherU.
Anytime you are on TV, it's a good thing. Most have TWC, but it's told bad others can't see the Panthers on AT&T or the dish. I hope the TWC32 games can go out to ESPN3.com and ESPN Gameplan. Not counting the BracketBuster, there is one point that 12 out of 13 games are on some form of TV or ESPN3.com
I wish more of the road games would be on TV. I guess the rating will go up for WISN 1130 and Bill Johnson.

No word on whether these games will be on ESPN Full Court? Checking mattsarz I don't see them showing up. That would be very disappointing.
mupanther, I think it's totally undocumented that "most" have TWC. The satellite penetration in the Milwaukee market is huge, many have ATT Uverse, many have no pay service at all and outside Milwaukee there are other cable systems that have no access to TWC games.

How does it work for ESPN Gameplan to pickup the feed from TWC32? I'm sure it's something with money.

Can we still expect to see many games via the Horizon League's HLN TV over the internet? I hope that's still going......

According to the Nislsen Co., there are 370,770 households in the Milwaukee designated market area that get TWC, which is 67% of households wired for cable and 41% of all TV households in this area.

Still not psyched about not reaching a wider audience, but in our current financial situation, it's a lot better to be paid then to have to pay.

Still not psyched about not reaching a wider audience, but in our current financial situation, it's a lot better to be paid then to have to pay. Agreed. Plus, remember Sports 32 reaches throughout the state ... thus I've been able to catch every televised game (as has everyone else outstate). I would like to see what the total state-wide distribution is. And I'd rather have TWC handling the broadcasts than going back to WMLW.

I agree that we need to get the best financial deal possible, and right now that's TWC. But mupanther's post confirms what I have been saying for years -- that by having an exclusive with TWC we are immediately losing more than half of our potential audience. (Marquette has the same problem, but their games at least are usually also syndicated to ESPN Full Court.)

ESPN Full Court has been absorbed by ESPN3, so we should push for broadcasts of each game to go through ESPN3.
