ghostofdylan reminded me that it was time to do my preseason player predictions at the MSOE game tonight. Here they are. My teams don't attempt to pick Center, Power Forward, etc. I'm trying for the best five players, not in any order. Also, I don't generally put first year players on the "All-D1" teams.
All-Wisconsin D1:
First Team:
Jon Leuer Rahmon Fletcher Jordan Taylor Jimmy Butler Darius Johnson-Odom
Second team:
Tone Boyle Keaton Nankivil Ant Hill Ryan Evans Bry Perine
All-Newcomer:
Vander Blue Jae Crowder Kaylon Williams Ryan Allen Josh Gasser
Player of the Year: Jon Leuer
Newcomer of the Year: Kaylon Williams
Breakout Returning Player: Jared Berggren

I pretty much agree with your list here. Berggren might break out, heard he has been killing in their practices but I think Tony Meier has a great chance to be the breakout player.

I may be in the minority here... but I'm still not sold on Tony Meier's defense. He's got a great shot, obviously, but he's always had a problem with fouls and guys seem to score on him pretty easily under the basket.
Granted it's only been 1 exhibition game, so I'll have to get a better look at him Saturday. I hope I'm wrong. The guy probably has the most upside on the team, and I want to see him succeed more than anyone. Let's hope this is the year.

Highest "upside?"
Not that Tony doesn't have some, but I think I have to go with Kyle Kelm and Evan Richard.
If there's a better class of incoming players in the league, I don't look forward to playing them.

He may not have THE highest upside, but he's a third year player with good size and a knowledge of how Jeter runs the program. It sounds to me like Evan Richard may be redshirting this year... and I'm just basing that from posts in other threads on this site. And even though Kelm may be a tad bigger than Tony and possibly a better player overall, he is a freshman.
I think Ant proved last year how much of a difference there is between a freshman/sophomore player to a junior/senior player. Just think how dangerous this team can be if Tony is able to have the same impact that Ant had last year.

With one game left in the Big 10 and Big East regular seasons, I just don't see my first-team picks changing all that much. So, here goes (by position) ...
First team PG -- Jordan Taylor, Wisconsin (POY) SG -- Darius Johnson-Odom, Marquette SF -- Jimmy Butler, Marquette PF -- Jon Leuer, Wisconsin C -- Anthony Hill, Milwaukee
Second team PG -- Rahmon Fletcher, Green Bay SG -- Tone Boyle, Milwaukee SF -- Tony Meier, Milwaukee PF -- Jae Crowder, Marquette (NOY) C -- Keaton Nankivil, Wisconsin
Third team PG -- Kaylon Williams, Milwaukee SG -- Bryquis Perine, Green Bay SF -- Jarvis Williams, Green Bay PF -- Mike Bruesewitz, Wisconsin C -- Alec Brown, Green Bay
All-newcomer Jae Crowder, Marquette Kaylon Williams, Milwaukee Josh Gasser, Wisconsin Jarvis Williams, Green Bay Alec Brown, Green Bay

Looks good to me, even though you slotted them by position it looks like you got the 5 best players on the first team.

Good job, dylan. I was just thinking of this yesterday. Couldn't decide between DJO, Fletcher and Nankivil for the last first team spot. You could make an argument for all of them.
Taylor is obviously the POTY. He's easily the best college player in the state since Dwayne Wade. By the end of next year he'll almost certainly be the best since Butch Lee.
My vote for Newcomer of the Year goes to Kaylon. Crowder is a fine player but Kaylon is more important to his team. And the Coach of the Year? Obvious -- Rob Jeter

Does anyone else feel that Tony Meier (12.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 50.4% FG, 44.3% 3-PT FG, 80.6% FT) got shortchanged here?

Absolutely. Tony Meier has been the "unsung hero" of this team. It's his success as a player that made us a champion. It was also his gong games that exposed us (DePaul, Loyola losses). The only contradiction to that is he spent much of our perfect back nine puking his brains out.
Make no mistake: no Tony Meier, no championship. He outplayed Norris Cole in the this-is-for-it-all game in Cleveland.

If you're referring to the teams that Rob Demovsky picked, no way. Tony Meier was quite good all year, but the only player you could begin to argue he belongs over is Dwight Buycks and I'm not buying even that.
