IDK I think Allen off the bench would make the second line a lot better. Every coach in America starts it's best 5 players. If you think Ryan Allen is one of those players, he should start.

You guys with your dunks. Wisconsin sells out every game of the season. They probably dunk, on average, less than one time a game. Winning sells. If we played like Dick Bennett's Green Bay teams and scored 54 points a game -- but won better than 80% of our games -- no one would be complaining about low attendance. I have nothing against dunking when it's the right play -- which is very rarely the case. And when it is the right play, and it's successful, I'll cheer as loud as anybody. I understand it's the silly sizzle that fires up the short attention span casual fan. But it's just a trifle in the great scheme of the game. And I'll take a 3 pointer over a dunk any time. I hope the reason why is obvious. By the way, I believe we had as many or nearly as many missed dunks as made dunks last night. All that said, yes, we have plenty of guys who can dunk. More important, we have plenty of guys who are skilled.

We need those type of fans at the games as well, who like the silly sizzle that fires up the short attention span casual fan.

Dunks only mattered when Popeye's was giving away free chicken, are they still doing that? If not who cares...

Ryan Allen reminded me a lot of Sidney Moncrief. The way he played, his movements, even looks a little like him. It would not suprise me at all to see Allen starting at some point this season. Wow...Super Sid??!! Can't wait to see this cat tomorrow.........

Off-topic, but does anyone know what happened in our closed-door scrimmage against Northwestern?

Off-topic, but does anyone know what happened in our closed-door scrimmage against Northwestern? They "won" by a small margin, but it wasn't like a 40-minute game. It was broken up a lot, the coaches were on the floor, they replayed several moments from both team's point of view. It was productive for both schools.
