I am sick of Jeter. I graduated 3 years ago, and it was my senior year when we went to the Sweet 16 under Bruce. -Jeter has done nothing but destroy a program that was becoming legitimate. -Jeter has a losing record, and it would be much worse if it weren't for Bruce's recruits. - Jeter can't recruit. Look at the players on his teams. Nobody can shoot the ball, they are lost in his system, and the style of play is so boring that I am now falling asleep in games. -We can't compete with any major programs, our wins come against D-2 and D-3 schools. - I was a season ticket holder for the past 2 seasons after I graduated. My wife and I are no longer season ticket holders as it is not fun to watch anymore. -My parents, also alumn from UWM were season ticket holders for the past 8 years, they did not renew either. - I am afraid that Jeter is destroying the program, and he needs to be replaced ASAP. -The best thing we can hope for is the new A.D. to come in and hire a coach that can bring this program back to where it should have gone.

I'm not agreeing with your fire Rob Jeter stance. I can say that my neighbors did not renew their season tickets this year and have yet to to go a game because they simply are not excited. Due to financial reasons I'm limiting the games I go to this year because I cannot justify the cost for the product.

I'll sign up for this one. Jeter needs to go! This program isn't improving, and the mere questioning of whether we're making progress speaks volumes about where this program is at right now. We're stuck in a massive rut! I'm going to renew my season tickets regardless of our record this season because I want to contribute to the longevity of the program, but it's certainly disconcerting to hear that many others aren't renewing.

A little premature for this in my opinion. Wait until the end of the season.

Agreed. There's very little to get excited about right now, or possibly even next year. But waiting until the end of the season for this talk is a good idea.
We've had two bad seasons in a row and it's just discouraging to me to see that this may be the worst out of those three teams, but I refuse to headhunt until the end of the season.

i can understand people's frustration with what's happening, especially if you've only known UWM as a winning program. and if you can't afford to go to a game then that's simply your financial situation. but to stop supporting your team when times are tough just cause you're upset is sad. what destroys programs isn't just bad coaching or poor recruiting, it's once faithful fans turning their back on their team because it's no longer living up to some preconceived standard of play.
i'm frustrated as hell with what's happened, but it's the reality of our current situation. we will have ups and downs and we'll see coaches come and go. but i'm not jumping ship. games are still fun, and tickets are arguably the most affordable in town.
maybe Jeter should go, but it's still too early to tell IMHO. we've had a series of strange things happen over the last few years. maybe it'll be reflective of a larger pattern, i don't know? but i sure as hell hope people come to games and support their school. the last two home games have been fun wins to watch. too bad only the same 2,600 faithful were there to watch.

Agreed. This team may possibly be worse, though. I just don't know if we'll see it reflected in the record since the Horizon League is a lot softer this year.

It's way too early to be calling for Jeter's firing. If you expect the BP years on a consistent basis you're honestly supporting the wrong team. This is a mid-major program in a mid-major conference.

This is a mid-major program in a mid-major conference. And this is a team with mid-major recruiting abilities and mid-major talent.

This is a mid-major program in a mid-major conference. With mid-major recruiting resources/abilities and mid-major talent. And an even smaller fanbase.

In recent years this program came far. Not saying we go to NCAA every year or duplicate the Pearl years but here is the thing. We have come so far and got to the point where Butler and UWM were the cadillac programs of the Horizon. Is it too much to expect us to maintain like Butler and keep that level going or close to? Why can't UWM stay up there with Butler as an upper echelon Horizon League program year in , year out, not necesarrily first every yeat but. . . Butler has not fallen far. They have freshmen and they are really good. These freshmen if anyone has watched any games look well coached and fit well right in their system. Our system is still one that I challenge anyone to define. . but even that our guys do not seem suited to play in whatever it is much less understand and execute it. . we are so far off. . look at our guys even ones with more experience compared to even just Butlers new freshmen. . not calling for replacing coach or anything but if we don't at least get back to a semblance of what this program was a few years ago it is going to be very sad to have been at the crossroads and watched the whole thing sag back down instead of moving forward. I see a lot of mediocrity, excuses, fan base starting to slip. . Rob is a great guy. Ric Cobb was a great guy too. .
