Thanks Hack...
Great game. No matter what this will make UIC tough as hell for UWM. The Pav sounds packed and rockin...
The Radio guys are horrid. "You cant let him do that!" They've said that for each team, almost every player!
Better UIC shooting, and it sounds like UIC is much quicker than GT.

Wow what a game!
as much as it pains me to say it, too bad for UIC.
sounds like they really played thei hearts out that one.
I got to say that I am pretty surpirsed by this game, I think either it says one of two things
1.) UIC seems to be better than I thought they were gonna be
2.) Looks like there might be a chance of 2 teams from our conference to make the tourney
but then to play devil's advicate(sp?) you know CSU only lost to UNC last year by 4 and they really didn't end up doing a whole hell of a lot, yes they had lots of injuries but those things happen and there isn't much you can do about that. But we shall see.

This game was scheduled by GA Tech as a homecoming game for Chicago-native Will Bynum, I don't think they thought it would have been such a challenge. From the play-by-play on ESPN, looks like UIC could have won, the HL is a legit contender if we can keep this up. Let's show KANSAS what we're made of

GT looked right passed us, I mean how in the world are they not covering Banks during the game. Every team in our confrense sticks two of their top defenders on him all game long. GT was really beatable and with Armond there who knows what happens. Good luck with your big games, sucks you cant play Kansas at home, but whats new.

Just wondering Spike, How did GT come to the Pav? Is there a coaching connection? It seems odd for a 'high major' to play at the 'mid majors' place. I totally agree that GT looked past you all. Could only see the highlights on espn during gamebreaks, but Banks was left soo open. WOW.

Nice showing by UIC. I was really torn as to who to route for, but a win would have been great for the league. Either way, I think that game should turn some heads. UWM is going to have many opportunities to pull off some upsets in the coming months... Kansas, Wisconsin, Air Force, Purdue, etc... Let's hope they can!

Spike, huge showing for the league. I think that this is the year we return two league representatives to the Dance. Clearly, Georgia Tech staged this game as a favor to Will Bynum with the thought that it would be a decent challenge but ultimately a winnable game. Our league continues to be underrated in all the preseason publications. I think Detroit could be a real threat, too.

I betcha Georgia Tech is wishing it had scheduled Chicago State or Loyola as Bynum's homecoming game. ;D

Saw the highlights last night. I think UIC will be a much better team then they are given credit for. However, other than Banks, Uic really didn't have any other scoring threat. GT had to have been off last night, but it was still a great performance.

No, our league -- which got three teams into the NCAA tournament in 1997 as the MCC and nearly advanced two teams into the second round in 2003 -- just doesn't get the respect it deserves, for whatever reason. This is exactly why teams from the ACC, Big 10, SEC, Big 12, Pac-10, Big East and C-USA don't often travel to UWM, UIC, Kent St., Nevada, etc. Imagine what might have happened if UIC had Armond Williams and a point guard.
