24% from the field, 0% from beyond the arc. The shooting woes continue.

This seems to be what I feared it would. Its beyond me how inconsistent they are on offense. And can someone just find Al a place on the bench. Im sure anyone else on the team can just jack stuff up and miss too.

Although we're getting it handed to us it's nice to see Franklin having a good game. His shot can look so smooth and effortless when he is on his game.
In contrast to that, Avery Smith is pulling a nice disappearing act. At times he can look unstoppable on the court, but right now he is way off. However, I'm sure he will go off in the closing minutes of the game and get in the double digits.

I agree TeddyPoo. No one can do any worse than who is out there right now. Put in Hansen and Thornton, they can shoot the three. As far as defense goes, no one is playing it out there right now anyway.

Not that it matters a great deal, but Avo had 2 wisdom teeth pulled this week. That may have slighlty impacted his performance.
However, as a leader he needs to show up for every game ready to play.
We were beaten by a better team today. I'm not ready to throw in the towel just yet. Let's see how they rebound against Wright State on Monday.

I did not watch the game because I game up on the feed. But it looks like the only positive is that Franklin played well.

Give Butler credit there a great team not much more you can say. Butler is good but over-rated nationally. I went to the game. They play great defense and are fundamentally sound. UWM looked bad, missed easy bunnies, Smith and Paulson were no show's the only bright spot was Franklin. Defense was not inspired, and they don't box out.

Butler may not be as good as a top-10 ranked team like they are now, but I definitely think they're one of the best 20 or 25 teams in the country.
