This is impressive and I think the small step back this team has taken recod wise this year is understandable. It happens to all teams (see UCONN this year) especially the mid-majors (see the 'Zags this year). uwmpanthers.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/012607aac.htmlUWM will be making its 19th appearance on national television over the past four-plus seasons when the ESPN2 cameras descend on the U.S. Cellular Arena for Saturday's contest. That run of appearances has included eight nationally-televised games from the U.S. Cellular Arena and this will be the seventh national TV appearance in just the second season under Rob Jeter. To show just how far the UWM program has come in terms of national exposure, the men's basketball team had never been on national television until its ESPN2 appearance at Southern Illinois during the first-ever Bracket Buster Saturday.

As a UWM alum that attended UWM in the early 90's, I am still amazed that UWM games are on TV at all. That only happened if they played UW in years past. And though the attendance should be better, I am still amazed that there are even 3,000 fans at a game. That's more people at one game than UWM would get the entire season when I was at UWM. Back then, I never, ever thought his team would be in the NCAA tournament. The idea was ridiculous. This program has come a long way. So has the expectations. Let's keep it in perspective.

A bright future indeed. Avo's going provide the team with an identity, a leader, and a go to go. With our oncoming newbies, this will be a much different team next year.
