Joe Allen story in the Journal Senital

There was a great story about Joe Allen today in the Journal Senital I suggest any UWM fan read it.

I know I've read through these boards that Jeter & Co. are trying to appeal the NCAA's about Joe being eligible to play next fall as oppossed to sitting out half a season. Does anyone know what the status is on the situation? Anyways, it was a nice article on the young man.

One of the coaches told a few of us at Miller Time Pub following the UIC game that he is eligible in the fall. I can't remember if he was speculating or stating fact, however. Nor do I remember which coach it was.

solid Jimmy - a guy at a bar (I can't remember who) told me that something may or may not be true. I'd like to see how your J-School profs react when you try to run that kind of source past them.

If he publishes something like that, I'm sure his j-school profs would react (as would the Post editor). He didn't publish it. He also didn't say "a guy at a bar." He said a coach.

All I have heard is that they are hopeful there's some way to change it. I have no idea what if anything is going on behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, based on the way the NCAA usually does things I would speculate it's an uphill fight. Very uphill.

wow sport, you're getting on me for being fuzzy with details here, but Jimmy's post is A OK??
sorry, guess I should have written, "a coach at a bar, I can't remember who" but I guess I didn't realize it was all that serious. just making a little joke dude!
