I think the Panthers are gonna make the tournament in 07-08 with Torre Johnson, Deion James, Tim Flowers coming in and Avery, Allen and Ricky returning what do you think?

I think they should compete, but teams like Butler who return both starting guards and a decent recruting class, UIC who return really everyone but Stefanov should make it anything but easy for Milwaukee or anyone else that may come from no where (i.e. Butler this year).

As fans we have the luxury to speculate about what next year's team might achieve (sky's the limit if the incoming players make the impact we're all hoping for, but don't forget, the other teams in the league are recruiting new players too), but I hope nobody on the team or the coaching staff are turning to next season yet.
Although it's fun to speculate, I hope Panther fans keep their focus on this season as well - there's still way too much basketball to be played this year to start looking too far ahead with anything but recruiting news.
IMHO, our first and second goals for the team's performance between the lines each year should be to win the conference and to win the conference tournament. While it would take a storybook run to achieve either of those goals this season, neither is impossible. That's why there's only one game on my mind right now, and it takes place this afternoon at the Cell. Talk to your friends, relatives, neighbors, or buy a ticket for somebody if you've got to in order to fill more seats, then let's all get to the game to rock the house!
