Road win, I'll take it!! Nice job closing out the game. The boys looked lost in the frst half, but pulled it together in the second half. I guess I didn't realize how much this team misses Swiggett in interms of the ability to push the ball and get the offense flowing. Oh well, you need to play with the hand that is delt you.

That was a must win, glad they won! I can't believe that at CSU is a must win, but you're right and they did need this. Any road conference win is good. Let's hope we can get even with YSU Sat. night and ride a wave of momentum back to Milwauks!

Every game is a must win and why should it be thought of as anything else? This team has shown it can be competive with most any team this year and is short on experience and size at this point.
As for the game I am happy they got this road losing thing out of the way with and can get on with winning a few more road games in conference. I honestly dont see a single conference game that can not be won except for maybe the Butler game on the road. I still have high hopes for a .500 conference record or better yet this year and hopefully a 4-7 place finish in conference.
Any road win is always a good win.

UWM head coach Rob Jeter on his team improving in the second half
"In the first half, we took a lot of perimeter shots. In the second half, we kind of settled in, moved the ball, tried to get the ball inside more and stayed away from the three-point attempts. As a result, we were able to get better looks."
Jeter on handling Cleveland State down the stretch
"Cleveland State is a very athletic team, a team that, if you watch their games, they've been in a lot of games and they've been ahead in games. Then, for whatever reason, teams have been able to battle them down the stretch. So, we just wanted to keep ourselves in position where we could battle them down the stretch."
Jeter on the way his team continues to rebound well
"We try to limit teams to one shot and we're trying to get more shots. Part of getting more shots is getting offensive rebounds and getting to the free throw line. As I look at the state, 10 of 13 (from the line) on the road in the second half is pretty doggone good, and it's what you need to do to pull out victories on the road."
Jeter on his team's defense
"We just wanted to really try to guard their initial offense. They do a pretty good job with the set plays that they run. After that, it becomes more of a motion, attack you one-on-one offense. We wanted to be disciplined to not be off enough to give them the three, but gap them enough where they had to make a decision to put it on the floor. I think the 24 percent was because we made them put it on the floor and shoot through us."
