Did I hear that correctly on the radio today?

We are going for a white out for the Youngstown game on December 10th?

That's what Bob Brainerd(sp?) said over the PA on Sunday night too. In the past, when they've done the Black Out and Gold Rush, they gave out T-shirts. Haven't heard anything about that though.

Do you mean normally what color are the seats? Red in the lower level, Blue 300 and up.

They will have to give out tickets not just t-shirts.

There is no atmosphere at the games. It's like the Bucks during the Chris Ford era, boring and bad basketball. I know the team is young and needs to build experience to get better, but the way this team plays will affect attendance. I can't find anyone wanting to go to any of the games. So that leaves taking my kids, and they already told me they don't want to come to anymore Panther games, they would rather go to Wave games. And seeing as I live in a household in which money is tight, looks like the Panthers will take a back seat. I may see another game or two this season, but it is difficult spending money on something that is not a good time.

T-shirts will get the dormies out...out of the dorms. Last year for one of the games that they gave out t shirts at the dorms, me and some friends were waiting on the bus to head downtown, and tons of freshmen came out to get a t shirt, and went back inside. They need to only hand them out if they actually board the bus or walk into the arena, not outside the dorms, giving them to kids who never have or will be at a game.

This is very true, and why do fans that dont live in the dorms get the shaft? Hand the damn shirts out to people who are at the games, and yes free stuff gets studnets to the games but maybe not since its once again a sunday game.

I think this is the key point. Maybe it's as obvious to everyone else as it is to me, but if the team starts playing well AND WINNING...the crowds will grow.

T-shirts and all that other free stuff is fine, but I think most fans see that as a desperate attempt to get people to the games. And the fact of the matter is, if they're losing games and playing bad basketball while doing it...you could give away free tickets and it still wouldn't matter.

Is the athletic department advertising this give-away to the dorm students? I have not seen one sign up on campus. If they don't know about free tshirts, they wont attend.

Will students go to the game despite the beginning of finals week? Term papers are due next Monday - Wednesday.

I doubt we get 100 students.

I'm headed to the dorms in about five minutes with flyers, schedules, magnets etc...

I encourage you guys to all tell your friends and encourage them to come. This is our conference opener, we need a home-court advantage.
