I think that for the most part there will always be 3 Guard's in the starting line-up. 3 Perimeter players, 2 Post players. 3 Little's, 2 Big's...it can be stated a number of ways. And it will most likely be 3 of the 4...Al, Avo, Ricky or Charlie.
I AGREE about Swiggett...I'd like to see him get more time. From my perspective he seemed more active and able on both ends of the floor. He was a little rusty on the offensive end, but that's to be expected with 2 weeks off from any live action.
I like Al's shooting, but he has a real tough time creating on his own. Avery on the other hand is the opposite of that. He can attack the rim and get into that mid-range area really well, but he rarely can knock down an open look at a 3-ball.
All in all, I think the lack of size is going to hurt them the most this season. They don't shoot well enough to get by without an inside presence. Skinner and Paulsen have the size, but seem more comfortable facing the basket, as opposed to having their back to it.
Also, entry passes and holding post positions go hand-in-hand and I haven't seen enough of those so far this year.
Lots of season left, lots of ball to played and LOTS OF EXPERIENCE TO BE GAINED!!! As long as they get better week-to-week and play hard...I'll be happy.
I wasn't there on Sunday, but they never stopped scrapping on Saturday night which was good to see.

The bottom line is that negativity like that should not be spread on this board. Being critical and being a negative prick are 2 different things. Statements like "Avery Smith sucks" are pointless. I would agree but that's not the post the pantherpanther initially responded to. Todd

Bottom line, and even truwarier agreed to this, is that it should not be said in that manner. It's over and done with, so why keep stirring the pot? Do you have a problem with me?
