Ok everyone, thanks for making guesses for the exhibition game. It helped my figure out a system for keeping track of predictions and the scores. I will be posting the results a day or two after each game, depending on my schedule. When I do, please review your scores and let me know if I missed anything. Chances are that I will screw up, so you are on your own to correct my mistakes! Anyway, here are the "Official Rules." I hope we get great participation.
2006-07 Game by Game Prediction Contest – Rules
Contestants will make predictions for each of the 30 regular season games. Predictions will be made for the statistical leader for each of the following 7 categories:
Points
Rebounds
Assists
Steals
Fouls
Minutes played
Free Throws Made
Final stats will be determined by the official UWM Athletics Department box score. In the event that 2 or more players finish with identical stats, both players will be credited as the statistical leader for that category.
Contestants will receive (1) point for each statistical leader correctly predicted. If a contestant correctly predicts all 7 stat categories, they will receive 3 bonus points, for a total of 10 points.
At the end of the season, each contestant’s 3 LOWEST scores will be dropped and total points will be tallied. This is to help keep the contest as close as possible, and also allows those who miss a game to still be in contention. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place. Exact prizes are to be determined.
Predictions must be posted prior to the announced start time for each game. You can modify your predictions, but again, they must be prior to the start time. Any late predictions will receive a score of zero for that game.
