I agree that Al is a solid point guard in the half court, but for a team that will need to run to win games this year he does not seem to be the best option when it comes to pushing the ball. I think both Smith and Franklin are better at this but Smith still seems to get to focused at getting to the rim himself rather than finding an open guy and Franklin is currently best served at the 2 spot. I have never seen Swiggett play but he was the starting point on ND Prep last year so I would think he would be a very solid option at that position if/when he gets cleared to play.
