It bascially tells us nothing we haven't already been told or know.

UWM considers MU's offer By TODD ROSIAK and BOBBI ROQUEMORE trosiak@journalsentinel.com Posted: Sept. 18, 2006 UW-Milwaukee on Monday received Marquette University's proposal for a five-game series in men's basketball that would begin next season, coach Rob Jeter confirmed.
Advertisement The terms of the contract, according to MU coach Tom Crean, call for four of the five games to be played at the Bradley Center and one at UWM's home, the U.S. Cellular Arena.
MU would pay a flat fee to UWM for each of the first three games, and the series would then switch to a 1-for-1 format beginning in 2010, when the game would be played at UWM's home court at the Arena.
It is unclear how long it will take UWM athletic director Bud Haidet and Jeter to review the contract and come to a decision, or whether they'd consider a counter-proposal if the current terms are deemed unacceptable.
Haidet did not return a phone message Monday.
Crean's original hope was for the series to begin on Dec. 22 of this season but that ultimately fell through.
The teams haven't played since Dec.8, 1998. MU leads the all-time series, 34-0.

It all depends on the fee. If Bud and Robbie can get a solid amount of money for all the buy games, then I, for one, would consider taking the deal. It's obvious that three games at the BC and one at the Cell will not happen, and while the program is in better shape this time around, if Milwaukee wins just one of those games, than negotiation to make it a 3-1 or a 4-2 the next time around might happen.
The fact of the matter is that many of us want to get a deal done. Not everyone, because some Panther fans will not buckle to anything less than a 3-1, but most fans just want a deal done. It's not as if the Bradley Center is such a long commute...it is actually closer to our campus than the Cell is. And Marquette fans, although they'd beg to differ, will not scoop up every ticket. We'll have enough to make some noise in their house.
I'd like to see at least 2 UWM-MU games before I graduate. Unlike in past years, it is possible. Crean never even offered before, and now there is an offer on the table, and that means something, no matter how one-sided it is.

I just love the way MU tries to rub it on our face. "Oh it's not a 4 for 1. It's a 3 for 0 and then a 1 for 1 for the next two years."
