A question about season tickets, let me set the stage first...
I had 2 season tickets last season and thought that the initial renewal letter for this season's tickets indicated no increase in price from last season, if the $50 per ticket deposit was sent in before a certain date. I sent in the deposit, but I got a letter yesterday and the remaining balance was $50 more than I thought it should be.
Anyone have any insight...?? Am I imagining things?

Tickets in the 200 level were increased. I think last year we paid $175, this year they are $225. I assume the price went up due to the number of home games on our schedule this year.

I assume the price went up due to the number of home games on our schedule this year. Do you also believe that ticket prices will go down if the number of home games decreases next year?

Nope, it was just a thought. College is much different than pro sports. In the pro's, they know exactly how many home games they will get and price accordingly.
Obviously the success is a reason for a bump, but with the uncertainty of how well this team is going to play this year, would it be the ideal year to increase ticket prices? The hardcore fans like most of us do not care of about what we are paying, but the occasional ticket holder may not want to shell out $200+ for a team that you supposedly think will not be very good this upcoming year.
Does UIC even charge for tickets? ;D

i have no inside info on the matter but i'm willing to bet its either b/c of Jeter's new salary or to help cover some of the costs for the tournament.

UIC does not charge atudents for tix. But they did raise prices last year from like $10 to $15 per ticket. I don't know what happened with season tickets but I believe those were raised as well.
I agree with Holic....gotta pay Jeter somehow...plus, after a few good years, they're going to stick it to you before the average fan finds out you're down...

I think the 300 level must have went up as well.
I don't remember what they were last year, but they are $175 each this year.
I'm not complaining though. Much rather see the Panthers than spend that same amount going to couple of Bucks games.
