Last week I was talking to someone at work who also holds season tickets. She said she can't wait for the season to start, not because she thought we'd be great again this year but just because she enjoys going to the games.
I don't think we'll win the HL this year but I doubt we'll suck. We have good talent and a good coach. I see us in 4th behind, Loyola, GB and maybe Butler or UIC

Big D - I would be very willing to make some sort of (relatively  ) friendly bet regarding which team finshes better this year. How about a donation to the other school's Athletic Fund, or general scholarship fund? Lou, I'm extremely tempted to take you up on this because I feel it would be easy money for UIC. But, I'm a bit of a superstitious fellow. I don't like to put money on my team because I feel it brings bad luck. How much would you be willing to put up? Or, do you have any other ideas? To the rest of you, you know you love this thread...c'mon, it's the middle of summer....boards are slow....it's all a part of keeping the rivalry alive. |

Well I would say the bet could be this:
Whoever loses has to wear a T-Shirt reading I'm a dumbsh*t UIC/UWM fan and they have to do it in the student section at the home of the winner's school in the winner's student section.
Of course that assumes UIC actually has a student section

if Big D loses, he has to wear a "Bruce is My Homeboy" T-shirt for each UIC/UWM game in '07-'08. he also cannot alter the shirt in any way.
if Lou loses, he has to bus in children to each game that'll threaten physical violence onto the opposing teams fans.

You guys do realize that Big D lives in VA. Do you make it to any games Big D? IMO a fair bet would be that if Lou lost, he would have to get a picture in a Fury t-shirt with the Flame mascot and if Big D loses he would have to get a picture with Victor E Panther in a Milwaukee t-shirt. The losing side has to use the photo as the image on top of their message board for a agreed upon amount of time. Nothing would be sweeter than going to the UIC message board and seeing a picture of Big D in UWM gear with Victor E.  |
