I was thinking today how far we have come since Jeter almost went to Iowa State. I remember the night he was supposedly gone I didnt talk to anyone and cancelled a date with my gf telling her I was too pissed to leave the house. This team would have been in serious trouble had he left. Just curious how other people felt looking back on the situation and how happy we are all now.

A long way we could be in some dark days right now. I thought for sure he was gone but i learned never to trust an opponents fanboard and wait till the official word. Just think first losing the 7 seniors is enough but having to go through the whole recruiting with a new coach would of not been pretty. I thank my lucky stars he stayed.

Rob Jeter may be a lot of things, but being stupid is not on the list. He knew that this was going to be a building year. With the way recruiting has been going, I think he knows that for the next four years he has some really solid potential. Four years or more of building a successful program just makes a resume' look good to anyone. Right now UWM gets the benefit. If it really comes together he could decide to make it his permanent home. A National Championship would make for a nice house warming
