We havent seen any of these players play or practice other than AVO, Al and a few others that prob wont contribute that much this year for simple fact that we've had a stacked line up the past few seasons. Believe me, Ricky Franklins ass would've played if he wasnt acedemically inelgible same goes with paige paulson (had to sit out a year because he was a transfer, not to mention a main priority prospect for NIU's basketball proigram). and Idk about Kaylan but ive seen him ball at the K center against the seniors of old and he looked talented, very athletic and long. So I have high hopes for ne3xt years team. and it may be unjustified. But how many picks in NCAA basketball are completely justified. f***in Geroge Mason in the final four, UWM beats BC ( 2 years ago), the list can go on. Basically what im sayin is, yes experice and leadership have a lot to do with any team sport. But I feel Talent, Coaching, and chemistry has more to do with success in a game like basketball. RJ's the man dude, hes not lookin for a mediocre year, he wasnt looking for mediocre players. He wants to win, and if He can get this young team playing as one before conference games begin I see no reason why we shouldnt have high hopes. Chemistry comes with time, true, but some teams pick it up a lot faster than others. Really what it comes downt to is our players basketball IQ's and there willingness to play the style of basketball that RJ wants them to.

Every team goes through this process every now and then. Some teams are able to build for the future to such an extent hat the high quality new players have to be patient to have their time in the sun. That's what building a program is all about. If Duke can do it, so can anyone else once the process is begun. It is the beginning that is tough. And sometimes fans, and schools, aren't that patient. Give RJ some time, I think he knows what he is doing! As or this season, just let it happen.

1) if we've never seen any of the current players play/practice then they must not be THAT good. Otherwise even a semi-alert basketball fan would have seen someone play/practice. I agree that some people may be pleasantly surprised but I don't think it holds true that if you haven't seen someone play or practice they must not be good. Consider how many of these guys are from Canada, California, Michigan etc. When would we have a chance to see them practice or play?

Tennessee Tech is a handful at their place, but dust in the wind away. Northern Iowa lost a lot this year, not just Jacobsen and McDermott...don't count that as a loss so easily. I think a bigger loss could come AT Wisconsin than against Michigan...Kamm Taylor is a beast and we won't have another arena record performance like Boo Davis' 7 Threepointers. Oakland and Central Michigan should be wins, but who knows...anyone have their home records from the past 3 years? Central Michigan was terrible, 4-24 I believe. However they were very young, and they return basically everyone on the team.
