Per Loyola's board: 1/6 - UWM @ LU 2/14 - LU @ UWM nothing says "I Love You" like a Panther game p206.ezboard.com/framblermaniafrm1.showMessage?topicID=8384.topicalso, i've been told that this year's schedule has a brutal stretch once again. 5 of the last 6 games are to be on the road, @ UIC and @ GB are to be the last two games in that order. our conference starts out w/ i believe 4 home games or something to that effect. dylanrocks should be able to clarify any mistakes i might have w/ this. the schedule should also be completed and released by the end of the month.

This is the "schedule" that I have seen.............
11/10 - Washington State 11/11 - Radford 11/12 - UAB 11/15 - @ Michigan 11/19 - @ Northern Iowa 11/22 - South Dakota State 11/26 - Tennessee Tech 11/29 - @ Central Michigan 12/2 - @oakland 12/6 - @ Missouri State 12/9 - YSU 12/13 - @ Wisconsin 12/22 or 23 - TBA 12/27 - Wyoming 12/30 - Butler 1/4 - Detroit 1/6 - @ Loyola 1/11 - @ Cleveland State 1/13 - @ YSU 1/18 - UIC 1/20 - WSU 1/25 - @ Detroit 1/27 - UWGB 1/29 - CSU 2/3 - @ Butler 2/5 - @ WSU 2/14 - Loyola 2/17 - Bracketbuster 2/22 - @ UIC 2/24 - @ UWGB
Looks pretty poor IMHO........we play YSU twice before we play several teams the first time. One home game in February (ending conference play @ Butler, @ WSU, @ UIC, and @ GB and throw in a possible away bracket buster game)........I don't know, I just don't like the way it shook out.

4 road games in a row didn't stop us from taking the conf. last year so this year its 5 of 6. Whats next?

This is consistent with what I've seen. Not as many home games as was originally anticipated. The road game with Central Michigan was a bit of a surprise. The Michigan game, by the way, is not a so-called buy game but somehow associated with the John Thompson Challenge. This will be a tough test for a young team. Nonetheless, it's better to have all the road games later in the season after the team has developed a chemistry.

Any idea who the TBD in December might be?

My guess is it was going to be MU until scheduling conflicts pushed that to next year, its the last non-con game (besides the BB) I know. 5 home games in January! Any word on whether the student tix 2-for-1 deal will still be going on, and still in January?

It's been a while since I was in school, When and how long does Christmas break go? I thought the 2 for 1 deal was to get people in over break.

Well, not much difference, this year's Xmas break is Dec 23-Jan 21. So if its during break, the games would be; Wyo, BU, Det, UIC, and WSU. If its during January, they'd be; Det, UIC, WSU, GB, and CSU. Either way its 5 games incl 2 rivals (UIC and either BU or GB).

No, the deal is definately during January. I was just wondering how many home games we had during break, because the attendence surely drops.

Yes it does. If the break is similar to last year's the students will be away for some of our best home games. Last year we had that same problem. Butler on the other hand played a couple of games on the road during that stretch and had it's best draws when the students would be around.

You're not kidding, sport. Butler on December 30 is brutal. Not only are the students out, but so are a lot of other folks. I'm usually away myself that week. I would hate to miss that game.

I agree Fran, the date for the Butler game is brutal!! I am just glad I'll be able to stream the game since I'll be in Cabo san Lucas that week. Although sitting on a beach streaming the Panthers game in December is not that bad in my book ;D.
Also, hopefully the games on 11/12 & 11/19 are late games since the Packers play at noon both those days.

Not sure if maybe we have the wrong order of games for the John Thompson Challenge or if the UAB board does, but somebody must... www.ncaabbs.com/forums/uab/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=32978...because I doubt Washington State is playing both Milwaukee & UAB on the 10th Also, does anyone know the facts of the Oakland series? I seem to remember it being posted at the beginning of last season, but can't seem to find it anywhere. Is it a 2-for-1, meaning they return to Milwaukee next year to finish the series?

I'm almost certain that the series with Oakland is a 2-for-1 with the third leg apparently scheduled for here next year.
